4-30-02 (part 3)
(11:20pm) Listening to Potshot. Just dropping one last line in April to mention that the new Comic World News online issue is up! Check it out to see the famed "Sinkhole" comic I did last year under the Peep Show section of the site. I forgot to mention that last night I got the privilege of talking with half of "The Saginaw Six (sometimes Seven)". Ken, Cheng, and Josh called. I hadn't talked to them in so long. We talked about getting old and how if Stu and I were up in Saginaw, we could've all partied hard like Andrew W. K. -josh-

4-30-02 (part 2)
(10:28pm) Watching TV. Just got done with chatting with Erin and I was able to bust out some new daily art! A couple sure to be classic Aaron M.F. Buss phone messages are up now as well. Eat my shorts. -josh-

4-30-02
(12:47am) Listening to Operation Ivy. Oh man, this is putting me in such a good mood and making me feel like I'm back in 11th grade. There just happens to be a new comic of the week up. Its one from when I was a junior in high school and dates back to Dec. 1997! No new daily art due to the fact that I drew my first real strip in 5 months today. It's called "Cliff makes himself at home." and will be a part of my new book, (Not So) Quarterly Comics #15. I hope to have it out by June. Anyway, the new comic is floating around my computer so if anyone wants to see the scan, drop me a line. I'm pretty content with it. Thank you to the Gaslight Addition pencil that I drew it with and the pens Michael gave me for inking it. Thanks to those who abandoned hope and joined the chat this evening. I'm off to the land of nod so I can dream of robots and monsters. -josh-

4-29-02 (part 2)
(3:42pm) Listening to Madness! Whee, time for a dance party!

First big chat room gathering is slated for 7pm EST tonight (after The Simpsons, of course). Be there and let's see who shows up. I hope Cap 'n Crunch does.

I just made some banana nut French toast using some of that Jiffy boxed muffin mix shit. They were tasty! Oh well, fuck you. I'll be back later. I'm busy. -josh-

4-29-02
(3:15am) Listening to The Broadways. "do you remember the first thing you had to memorize? was it the pledge of allegiance? a five year old stands for a flag that killed off all the real americans." Hep ska do, I feel all awesome and happytastic and good. Stephanie is so cool because she just sat around and hung out with me while I pretty much showed her EVERY comic thing I've done over the past five years. We ate frozen grapes and gabbed about St. Pete. I took a nap earlier and I woke up and went into the bathroom to see a spider had dug itself into my neck. Hopefully, when I give birth to my spider neck babies, they do some chores for me and bring me food. I hope my neck doesn't balloon up. Damn you, spider!

Brunch happened in the morning and I would've been late for it if it wasn't for Slap making a bunch of noise. She's such a good cat. Brunch went good though. I got mad at myself for dropping stuff but I should be used to that because of how clumsy I know I am. I then hung out with Meg, Tracy, and Erin and then dressed up like a superhero again. Meg and Tracy left and I walked with Erin over to her house to meet her cat George and her squirrel Rocky. Wait, I just can't stop thinking about my spider neck babies. Yuck! Anyway, I was over there for a bit and I'm sure Erin's family wants to adopt me because of how lovable I am. HA HA HA! I got back home and had a great conversation with Lauren. If I wouldn't have dawdled, I could've hung out with her and Ruckus, the Super Dog today. At least I might get to see her and her family when she graduates from University of South Florida on Sunday. I took Slap on a little bike ride which she enjoyed. Then, I had a really good conversation with Lisa, who I haven't talked to in ages. Sheesh! I either talked with or hung out with everyone today. Then, Meg called and Simpsons was on and the episode became my new favorite one in the whole world. Bart started making comics about Homer and I could just imagine me acting like him. Ahhh! Pop culture. Stan Lee was on there, too. Then, I slept and got impregnated with evil spider neck babies. No new Comic of the Week yet. It should be up later today. I'm going through oodles of strips and wondering if I should start scanning in the whole issues of the old books like I want to. It's going to take awhile because there are 101 books and about 1200 pages of comics I have to scan. Bye bye birdie! -josh-

4-27-02
(7:48pm) Watching the movie "Screwed." I just got done watching the Ninja Turtles movie so I drew Leonardo for my Daily Art today. I cleaned today and gave Slap a bath. I'm at another loss for words. -josh-

4-26-02 (part 2)
(5:05pm) Listening to The Supaflies. Anyone want to offer suggestions on a good time to have a big gathering in the chat room? I finally got it working right. Let me know. Nap time! love, that josh kid.

4-26-02
(4:01pm) Listening to Link 80's "Slap". I just got home a little bit ago and I was so happy for paying my bills and putting money in the bank. Why the fuck should I feel happy about that?! I'm giving my money away to these places so I can live civilized and then I'm holing up more of my cash in a place for them to fuck off around it and be merry. Ah, good old life and society.

Last night, Erin and I trekked to St. Pete High for a production of "Anything Goes." I had a great time. It was really cool to see a play again. I was going as my alter-ego: Studley Dudley! Yes, that's right. I was so studley people fainted just by my presence. No, that never happens. They might faint because of my horrible resemblance to Danny DeVito, though.

I'm going to eat me some chicken and draw. There's some new phone messages up. Enjoy, gangsta nip! Sorry I'm so boring. Oh! I'm going to paint a giant Chauncey on the hood of Skater Dan's car. I might do it later today but I'll get pics of it. He'll have the coolest car in Pinellas County. Adios, dip shits. -josh-

4-25-02
(4:16pm) Listening to Alkaline Trio. There are a couple more phone messages up. Last night, Stephanie, Slap, and I called They Might Be Giants' Dial-a-Song and we got to hear a pretty song. I called Space Ghost but his number was, as always, busy. Damn you, Cartoon Network! Here's something for the ladies: the stitches on the right side of my mouth are almost out now. They decided to unravel while I was working today. Yum! Don't you love me a little more now? I might put some more pics up today. I'm going to work on a comic strip or two. love, josh!

4-24-02 (part 2)
(6:43pm) Watching "The Simpsons." There are a ton of new pictures up and I'm going to add even more. -josh!

4-24-02
(4:26pm) Listening to Limp. Hey there, gang! There's a bunch of new phone messages up. I found out yesterday that people from all over the place are coming to the site. If you are from NY, CA, NH, MD, AZ, NJ, NC, OH, CT, or PA then drop me a line. Those are most of the states that popped up when I was searching all the people who came to the site. By the way, thanks!

The stitches on the left side of my mouth finally dissolved and it feels great. The right side of my mouth is still real painful but it's getting better. Gah, the heat index right now is 92. I might take a nap. I'm going to get some drawing in today though. -josh-

4-23-02
(3:28pm) Listening to Skankin' Fresh. Hello, g-strings. What's new? Yesterday, Erin, Natalie and I went for a bike ride to the Pier and there I proceeded to do nothing that would've gotten me in trouble. I might've attempted something but I was kinda tired. Hey! My column has almost had 100 hits in about 3 weeks. Thanks for checking it out. One good thing about my mouth being jacked up is that I haven't been able to bite my finger nails so now I can start scratching people fiercely. Anyway, after the bike adventure I watched "Pay It Forward." You have to see this movie because it'll change your thinking. I helped an old guy in a wheelchair cross the street today after I got out of work because I saw he was struggling going uphill. He told me that he was crossing one time and some guy hit him going 60 mph and then went on to steal his wallet. The world is shit and "Pay It Forward" sort've revolves around that whole notion and then talks about going on to help people to try to make it better. I drew my awesome picture which was the Daily Art for yesterday and then I watched "War of the Roses." I then started to watch the live action 1st "TMNT" movie and I caught parts of the ton of Barbara Stanwyck (I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HER!) movies that were on last night/this morning. I even was able to catch a little bit of one before I left for work today. I got home and I couldn't find Slap. I think she has a secret hideaway that I have dubbed 'Ft. Slap.' I wish I could go there. JoEllen bought me the coolest thing: a big box of 30 tiny cereals to fill me with sugary madness! I love her. Blee!

Two weeks from Friday is the one year anniversary of everyone's favorite half-emo pigdog, Chauncey! Let me know how I should celebrate it. Maybe I'll have a dinner party or give away unused Chauncey artwork. I don't know, though. Send me ideas! Another big thing that is coming up is the 2 year anniversarty of the site. That happens on May 30th so bust out your party hats and noise makers because we'll be sure to cause a ruckus here around the Dirty Josh Publishing offices. Hotcha! Congratulations to Joe Kletz on his job in Cincinnati! Catch ya later! love, josh!

4-22-02
(12:43am) Listening to Telegraph. Not that anyone cares, but if you lived in my neighborhood tonight, you would've felt a lot safer. Erin and I dressed up like superheroes and ran into some lowly carnival folk who were meandering about at 11 o' clock this evening. I had my skin tight Batman outfit on with a plastic checkerboard tablecloth as a cape and Erin had a beanie and a sheet for a cape as well as Aquabat goggles on. One woman asked what we were dressed up for and I replied to her in my Tick voice "Because it is Sunday night, lady." I tell you, you would've felt safer. There is a new phone message up and the new Comic of the Week will tantalize you. I had a great conversation with Jen today and she saw Lawrence Arms last night and talked to them about me. She gave them a print out of the daily art I drew of the band after I saw them here. She is back in less than three weeks. I'm excited. She's going to make me Mr. Comic Lord in Colorado by promoting my stuff better than I do. Whee! I love you all. -josh!

4-21-02
(8:15pm) Watching The Simpsons. I'm back once again to spout some more dribble to leak into your brains. Stu and I went to Publix this afternoon and I bought a bunch of meat stuff. I came home and cooked some fish on the grill outside and hung out with Tony. Stu and I drew. I have the new daily art up. That's about it. I'll add some more later. I have a bunch more I'd like to scan. Sign the guestbook. -josh-

4-20-02
(5:26pm) Listening to TreePhort. I just got back from the show that went on this afternoon. It rocked! All the bands were great. I danced and even was involved in some crowd surfing action. I want to be in Skankin' Fresh as 'the kid that doesn't have a reason to be in the band.' My mouth is killing me because I'm eating. I need to take some of my drugs and then I'll be in the land of nod. Happy four twenty by the way. Time for you kids to smoke your doobage. SF put on a good show and it was only their second one! They got a new saxophonist that I dubbed Sombrero Joe. The guitarist of TreePhort played in a Spider-Man outfit and the singer was in a Winnie the Pooh outfit. I bought a couple CDs by them and they're amazing. Gaslight Addition played and I was right up front to support my favorite boys. They played some Alk3 and a cover of Bloodhound Gang's "Ballad of Chasey Lain" and I sang along. Whee! I was riding my bike home and Tracy and her mom stopped and threw my bike in their van and then dropped me off at home. Now I here being a dumb schlub. Arghhhh! -josh!

4-19-02 (part 2)
(4:14pm) Listeing to Amazing Transparent Man. I forgot to mention that Stephanie and I decided that the statue of Christopher Columbus on The Pier needed some cat treats last night, too. I heard American Steel on the radio this morning. I love WMNF. My mouth is getting better. I gots a new Comics Journal to read. Tonight is Ska Night at the Globe. Come on out and hang with your least favorite comic artist. Love, josh!

4-19-02
(12:52am) Listening to Home Grown. Whoa now! I actually got some new daily art up. Stu and I went to the Pier and watched as a cool but short storm passed by. We drew and then went to McDonald's. He dropped me off and then Stephanie and I wandered about around the Bay throwing these Kookamunga cat treats at things ranging from birds to trash cans to fish. We got some cats hooked on it. They should love us. My cat sure does. Goodnight, freaks. Love, josh!

4-18-02
(5:33pm) Listening to American Steel. Hi kids! Boy, do I feel great. I'm glad that I'm eating again. I almost turned into a 12-year-old who weighed 12 lbs. I was so happy to be back to work as I listened to some midwest ska action and some Madness. Lauren brought me some chili she made and I'm eating it right now. It's really good. The heat is horrendous today and smart me decided to wear pants. I bought an Alakline Trio import, the 'Living Tomorrow Today' benefit CD for Ty Cambra (his older brother does the Lawrence Arms site). The CD was put together by web designer supreme Julie Wager. I also got a new Lookout! Records sampler because American Steel is on it and then Alk3 and Bis grace it, too. I need to get some drawing in. Thanks to everyone for wishing me well. -josh-

4-17-02
(2:52pm) Listening to Madness. A Josh Sullivan with two missing teeth is now typing this. Let me start with what happened yesterday.

click here to see the teeth pulling comic by erin bolich and meg everitt

I thought the dentist I was going to was going to pull my damn teeth but he looked at me for a minute and said he was going to refer me to an oral surgeon. So, I was pretty hungry and thirsty from not eating anything. On my quest to eat more meat, I went to Checker's and got some food. I swung by the CD shop out there and bought a Madness import, American Skathic 3 (last one I needed!), a Man or Astro-Man? record (they do the Space Ghost theme), and a Mushuganas record. I peddled my bike all the way back downtown and was just so frustrated that my teeth weren't pulled. JoEllen made me feel better and I made the appointment for the oral surgeon. I went home and called Stu to see if he could take me to go pick up my X-ray and then to my appointment and Bred was supposed to take me home. Stu-ee came over and I was outside hanging out with Tony and Stephanie. We were outside having fun and I was acting nuts as usual. I busted out the Saved by the Bell board game and Stu, Steph, and I made up rules for it. I won a date with Zack Morris (of course!) and then it got dark out. We cooked out a little and had fun talking about ska and craziness. Stu left and then I hung out with Stephanie. We watched some of Ghost World and some of her friends came over and they made me laugh. It was so nice hanging out with someone instead of worrying about my mouth. Thanks to everyone who called me last night; none of you! We tried to get our cats to be friends but that still looks unlikely. I went to bed at 2 after saying goodnight.

I woke up and called Stu. He dropped me off and I was nervous as all hell. I had to watch a video about my teeth and then they gave me one little prick in the arm and I was out. Next thing I know, I'm up and all done. The drugs or gas or whatever the hell they gave me made me super emotional. I kept crying and was super woozy. The crying just wouldn't stop. It was so weird as if everything was just flowing out of me. I was really happy to have my teeth out. They made me so sick and I can't believe I've put up with them pushing against my other teeth for 4 years now. So, then Bred doesn't show up and I get so sad and discouraged and they hand me a phone. I call Stu out of work and I love him so much. He came and got me and then he's taking me to go get my prescription filled in a bit. So, I called JoEllen and let her know how I was through the blood and gauze that's in my mouth. I look like a chipmunk and sound like a 3 year old. Slap is sleeping on my lap. Cute kittie. I slept a little bit and watched a little Buster. I woke up and Tracy, Meg, and Jenna had left all these great and funny messages on my machine. I then got on the computer and Tracy told me to go look in my mailbox. There, a comic about my adventure to the dentist by Meg and Erin Skankin' Fresh was there and a funny pic with me on it telling me to get better. *Hugs to everyone* Jen called all the way from CO to wish me well. I love her so much. Hotcha! More later. love, josh!

4-15-02 (part 2)
(9:02pm) Listening to Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

Which "Saved By The Bell" Character Are You?

4-15-02
(10:52am) Listening to Mu330. Hey there, everyone. I went to get paperwork filled out at Social Services so I can get my teeth problem taken care of. There was this Asian man who was singing and screaming he was going to kill himself. Another guy wanted to know 'If I wanted to make some extra money.' Gotta love St. Pete. I have an appt. tomorrow at 1:30pm at the dentist's office. My throat feels a lot better today and I actually can eat and drink without it feeling like a chinchilla is chewing on my throat. Sometimes I wish I lived in Canada so I could get free health care. I hope that after these teeth are thrown to the curb, I don't get so sick so often. I read that the way my teeth are growing in, there is no way of avoiding them getting infected. So, I've been up since 6am and I feel great to be up during the morning hours. It was 80 degrees by 10 o' clock. Hopefully, I get a bunch of stuff done today.

I guess I'll tell you about my fabulous weekend in Orlando! Bred and I left Saturday evening and stopped at McDonald's along the way. I was feeling like shit but I ate a hamburger and thought about all the Hepatitis A crap going on in Polk County. We then continued on and listened to some ska and some Honor System. We got to Bill's at 9 and we were the first of about 75 people to show up. Cristy Road ended up there as well as a bunch of kids from Cape Coral. I had a cool time. I didn't sleep much, though. Breddy Two-Shoes and I made new friends from Cape Coral: Jessica, Candace, and Courtney. We hung out and ate breakfast and maybe we'll run into them again. They were a blast; a lot more fun than some of the stuck up St. Pete girls. We hung out with Bill some more and watched these funny safety videos on the internet. 'AHHHHH!' Ha ha ha! It was stormy as all hell. Bred and I left and stopped off in Downtown Disney to go to the giant LEGO store. He bought the coolest thing: a new studio thing with a Spider-Man LEGO! There's also a little Green Goblin one. The little tourist kids had no manners and deserved to be punched. I don't care how bad you want to see your Lego Bionicles or Star Wars Legos, just don't push me out of the way to get to them. Downtown Disney is scary. I haven't been to actual Disney World since I was 1 or 2 but this whole damn area is run by Disney and it has such a Big Brother feel to it. I was glad to get the hell away from there. It was nice and peaceful as we listened to Alk3 and saw the skies clearing up. We got back and Bred hung out for a bit with me. I didn't go to the Toasters show. I talked to Diana for a bit and then went to bed. I woke up at 3:30am and watched "Our Hero" (still one of the best shows I've ever seen). That's it. I'm adding some more stuff to the site. Check it out! -josh-

4-13-02
(3:09pm) Listening to the new Mu330 album "Ultra-Panic!" So good!. I'm 21 6 months from today. Happy half-birthday to me. My mouth is so painful. My throat feels like it was murdered and now I hope that it's my teeth that need to come out and not my tonsils because I have an appt. to go see a dentist on Monday morning. I'm a little freaked out over it. Wish me luck. I'm just so excited to be getting it taken care of and then I can have this horrendous pain stop attacking me. My throat looks as if its closing up.

I just got done hanging out with Nick. We went to IHOP and then to Daddy Kool. I hope to hang out with him again someday soon. Maybe we'll end up at the same place in the future. I hope Saginaw doesn't suck too bad for him. I'm going to Orlando. See you later. Buy some comics. -josh-

4-11-02
(11:50pm) Listening to the Mailorder is Fun! comp and more specifically Less than Jake's "Liquor Store." Hey, doods! Everything is now ad-free on here. I got a new guestbook up and running and I brought back a chat room. No Daily Art for today because I'm still feeling as all hell broke loose in my mouth. My neck looks as if it were attacked by a baseball bat and my teeth are so pushed together, I might be able to get a role as a character on Enterprise. I haven't eaten hardly anything in the past few days. It just hurts a lot. I don't have an appetite either. Glah! Death becomes me. -josh

4-10-02
(5:55pm) Listening to the Parka Kings. Hep ska doo! Last night, I went out to dinner with Jeff, Nick, his mom, aunt and brother. We ate at Applebee's and guess what, gangbuster? I ate meat. I don't think I'm going to eat it all the time but it was cool to stop being a strict vegetarian after a year and a half. Both Nick's mom and his aunt told me the same thing about what was wrong with me (they used to be nurses). My compacted wisdom teeth are the culprits to my sickliness. I felt way better after finding that out. I need to get them out and I'll feel like a million bucks, or even three. Jeff and Nick's bro rode in one car back and me and Nick were in his car as I yelled out stuff like "Back to the Future" lines and obscenities. We got freaked out that a cop was going to pull us over after one got behind us when I was screaming a lot. I cut Nickelback's hair and messed it up a little but I'm Josh so he knew that was going to happen. He left and I started looking through my pictures because I have X-Rays of my big mouth and I could use them and save money for my teeth getting pulled. I was going through every little stage of my life in St. Pete and it was nice. I looked at my baby pictures and me as an ornery little teen. I'm going to post a ton of them soon. I didn't sleep much. I worked and John Bailey (Tall John for those in the know) came in and told me that he got in trouble for checking out my site at work and then he hung up a bunch of my comics in his cubicle and they got torn down so he quit. JoshComics cause trouble! Skater Dan showed up and I wish I had the skateboard of his I painted. So, I got home and went outside to draw. Tony and Howie came out and we talked. Then, Stephanie came out and hung out with us. She then brought her cat outside after I brought Slap out and it was so funny. They were hissing at each other and scratching the hell out of us. I almost got my drawing career cut short when the cat kangaroo kicked the hell out of my hand. Anywho, enjoy today's Daily Art. -josh! p.s. Check out the band Chauncey. They are really good. I think they broke up though.

4-9-02 (part 2)
(7:39pm) Listening to The Eclectics. Still not better. I'm a sweaty little thing but if I turn the a/c up, then I have crazy chills. My new column is up: Vertical Composition. Glah! -josh-

4-9-02
(1:30am) Watching the Weather Channel. Ughhhhh...more sick than before. I slept for 16 hours today. I think this is what I had put up with in Jan/Feb for the month I was dying back then. My lymph node on the other side is getting inflammed. I'm burning up and having really bad chills at the same time. I actually remembered a dream, though! It started with this dog that I saw that had wings and was being hunted by everyone in St. Pete. It was so real. Then, the city got turned into a giant robotic floating vessel. It was scary as shit and so vivid. I just woke up at 1am and I think I might go right back to bed. I need to get better. It's too hot to be sick. -josh-

4-7-02 (part 2)
(9:00pm) Nick is watching TV. I don't feel very good. I just got back from grocery shopping and I didn't buy anything but cereal. Everything I looked at made me want to throw up. That was the last Publix experience for Nicolai and me and we listened to the "Back to the Future" soundtrack. He's going back to Saginaw in a week. I should relax and see if I'll get better. Gel and toothpaste is right next to me. The cat should put it away. Ok, eat me. New phone messages up. love, josh!

4-7-02
(4:11am Hello Daylight Savings!) Listening to Fat Hat. I am so lucky to be in St. Pete where we have such awesome ska and other local bands. The first Skankin' Fresh show was great tonight. I ran into two of the three Gaslight Addition boys and a bunch of people that know me who go to St. Pete Catholic. I was amazed at how many people said they came to the site before. Jeremy of TGA said his little 11-year-old brother started making comics because of me. Awww! This kid is going to overtake me because he did a comic where a kid kicks a pregnant teacher in the stomach. Man, my cat is too damn adorable. So, I got to see Tracy and Mike and some other Skankin' Fresh peeps. One of them is actually someone I met awhile back when Mitchy B. and I went to a guitar store and him and I started talking about Chicago bands after he saw me wearing a Slapstick shirt. Erin Skankin' Fresh was cool, too. I hung out with Joe and Babs there (kinda) but moreso acted crazy and ran around with Meg. She's fun! Oh yeah, go to this show: Gaslight Addition, TreePhort, Middleground, and Last Minute Project at 4230 Shore Acres Blvd. NE (only 30 blocks from me! Bike time!). It is from 1pm-5pm and is $5. So, I bought a Fat Hat CD and it's cool. Ooo! The Toasters are playing here next week with some of the members of Hepcat and some of the members of Sublime/Long Beach Dub All-Stars! Whoo! I found out tonight that Leftover Crack is playing in Orlando on Friday! I wish I had the whole weekend off. I'd kill to go to that show. Nothing beats Satanic/political ska/punk. Bill Nord's dance party is the night after that. Ok, that's it. Sign the guestbook or post something on the message board. -josh- p.s. Just got the one Lawrence Arms song, "Overheated", that I haven't heard. Thank you Audio Galaxy. Ohh, this is such a cute song.

4-6-02
(4:37pm) Listening to Alkaline Trio. I saw Lauren for the first time in a long time last night. I miss her. Aughh! Damn women! I know that I don't know what I want when it comes to relationships. That's why I avoid everyone most of the time and hang out at home with the cat. Anyway, enough of being emo...I am really happy with myself! I'm drawing and painting and catching up on work. My next thing I'm starting on is a tribute to the 60 years of "Archie" for the souvenir book of Comic-Con this year. I can't wait to see how a JoshComics version of Archie and Jughead will look. Dammit! Everyone is IMing me and the cat is running around and I'm jealous of Mandy for getting to see the Aquabats last night. La la la. -josh- p.s. I just sold a few of the Daily Art pieces!

4-5-02
(6:33pm) Watching The Simpsons. "Hey, Burnsey! It's me, your old roomate, Dink!" Hi flip skips! My robot pic I gave for the pledge drive went for $50! Yee-hoss! The daily art for today is part of a skateboard I painted this afternoon. Robots in the city and nowhere to go. Man, I love the Simpsons. Thanks to those who are getting the message board going. Ok, bed time. love, josh!

4-4-02
(11:39pm) Listening to The Smoking Popes. Hey there, hepcats! Post on the message board. The new ad-free one is running and needs to have some serious activity on it. Let's get it bigger than the Bea Arthur Message Board! New daily art is up. I didn't even want to try on it today. I can have a few shitty ones every once in awhile.

This is something that someone suggested to me: Anyone who has a JoshComics or Chauncey button, if at all possible, send a pic or a scan of you wearing, holding, or eating it. You can send pictures to my P.O. Box (773, St. Pete, FL 33731) and scans to josh@joshcomics.com. I can't wait to see how this turns out. I'll put the pics on the site probably on the Flippity Fun page.

Anyone looking to set up a web site? Go visit Chris J at: www.ecentralcorp.com. That is where this site is being hosted through and I couldn't be happier. Tell him, Dumb Josh sent ya. That's it. Pledge on WMNF this weekend and more specifically call during JoEllen's show from 11am-noon tomorrow (Friday). I've donated a piece of art. Maybe you can buy it and help out the best little radio station in the whole world. Listen on the net, too: www.wmnf.org. Love, josh!

4-3-02
(11:46pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. I just got back from a Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball game. Yeah, I know, I don't do the whole sports thing but it was great. I got to hang out with my friends and make fun of people. I drew my new Daily Art there and it was cool. I got to see my old fave team the Detroit Tigers too. It rained and I'm a soggy Joshie.

For those with digital cable: Pete is Pete is back on! I might have to get dig cable just for that. It's on three times a day. Yowza!

There are a couple new phone messages up. Keep them coming, suckers! I'm really hungry. Send me some food, dammit! Um..I love you. -josh-

4-2-02
(7:20pm) Listening to Rus and Lyd play ECW Hardcore Wrestling. Me and the kids just made a quickie animation for Todd Webb. Check it out on the Animation page. Comic World News has featured this month the "Happy Berfday" comic. Go check it out to see Cliff surprised on his birthday. That's it. Thanks to those who have taken my quiz. Yee! love, josh!

4-1-02 (part 2)
(10:09pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. Hey kids! I'm just sitting here being bored so I thought that I would add more to these words. I should be working on stuff I have to do but I've been working my ass off like crazy the past few days. There's a new extremely rare comic called "Blunder Twin Cahmicks" where there are only about 20 copies and I have them all. It's the book Julia and I worked on and I think I'm going to use the art for "Dirty Josh Chronicles" when it starts back up this summer. The whole shebang is pretty funny, if you can believe that.

Augh! My leg is hurting from scraping all that skin and hair off of it. I just realized that it is the same leg with the knee that has been fucking with me lately. I'm grumpy when I'm in pain. Thankfully, my sunburnt shoulders are getting ready to blow up. Um...eat my shorts! -josh-

4-1-02
(4:40pm) Watching "Ghost World." Happy April Fool's Day! Happy Birthday Andrea! Rusel and Lydia have been doing all sorts of stuff. We played video games and watched "BTTF". We watched Space Ghost and walked down to the Bay and went to the park. I've slept so much today, too. I'm like an old man with all the naps I've had.

I hope some of you have checked out the first installment to the new "Phone Messages" page on the site. I've added some new comics and art. Some new pictures are next and then I'm on my trip to Botswana. Umm...I mean, to work tomorrow. Yay! Thanks for sticking around. Love, josh!

3-31-02
(6:36pm) Listening to the music of "Duck Hunt." Hey everyone! Welcome back to the love that is known as joshcomics.com! I've been relaxing and having fun the past few days and I'm planning on updating this dumb site soon enough. I know that some of the links to pics and stuff aren't working but they will. I'm going to be adding a bunch of new features like "Josh's favorite answering machine message of the week" and more animations. My leg hurts because I scraped it all up on this cement while trying to be funny as I walked with Stu and his family. When we walked past by it later, Rusel saw that some of my leg hair was scraped off on it. Yum! I hope to have everything back to normal in a few days. I'm going to continue with the Daily Art and have a new comic of the week for you tomorrow. Sign the guestbook and post on the message board. Yee-haw! love, josh!

3-25-02
(10:36pm) Listening to Slapstick. Best site ever: x-entertainment. It is so funny and I want to write like how this guy writes reviews. Somewhat big changes should be finalized in a few days for the site. Stay tuned. I really don't have too much to say. I've been keeping at being a bum and I am going to put a piece of paper over my TV with "NO!" written on it so I don't watch it. I've been cleaning a lot. Stu's family is going to be here at the end of the week. Yay! I love them. Bye bye. -josh-

3-23-02
(3:09pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. Today is the 6-year anniversary of the true start of the JoshComics shenanigans. I started doing a comic that I passed around to a few of my friends and I did a new one everyday for the rest of my freshman year of high school. Whee! Sorry for my absence from the site. I'm taking a tiny break from stuff on here. There's should be a nice big change to the site by early next week. Keep checking back.

My dear friend Bill Nord might be coming to St. Pete tonight! Yay! -josh-

3-20-02 (part 2)
(10:55pm) Listening to Honor System. Check out the new animation! It is too hep for me! Auughh! I just spent forever on it but it was fun and Nick had fun watching the madness unfold. Eep! Eep! -josh-

3-20-02
(1:21am) Listening to Short Round. New animation up! Go look now! -josh-

3-19-02
(5:47pm) Listening to Polaris. Right now, I am causing a mess in my kitchen by making scalloped potatoes. JoEllen got me the coolest thing: A plastic Mexican Wrestler doll! It is way too hep. I love him. He is my new favorite super guy besides my famed toy, Big Thighs. Nick and I recorded all the voices for the "Great Cowboy Escape" animation. That should be up a little later tonight. Let me know what you're thinking of the new stuff. I'd love to hear your thoughts. -josh-

p.s. Go buy the new album that just came out by Short Round! It was produced by Brendan Kelly and Matt Allison and it is fronted by the guitarist of The Chinkees! It is great!

3-18-02 (part 2)
(4:39pm) Listening to Tree Phort. Josh of The Gaslight Addition just mentioned this band to me and I'm downloading songs by them and they are so good! They're playing a show with TGA coming up in a month or so. Yay! I've been downloading tons of new songs. I'm getting to hear some ska bands I never heard of. Umm...it's hot. I'm working on new comics. I'm going to go paint some skateboard decks maybe. Gah! The old message board is back up. -josh-

3-18-02
(2:48am) Watching "Northern Exposure". Well, after a very long time, there is a new animation up! It's real short and unfunny but at least it's up. Later on today, Nick and I are going to do a remake of the new one and have an animated version of the "Great Cowboy Escape" comic. There is a new Comic of the Week and I am still churning out the Daily Art. Adios, amigos! -josh-

3-17-02
(8:33pm) Watching "Malcolm in the Middle". It is so damn hot. I don't want to type. I'm not in the mood. Fuck...josh!

3-15-02
(5:37pm) Listening to The Broadways. I don't have much time to type. I have some new pictures up. I hope you like them. I will talk with you later. Love, josh!

3-15-02
(12:48am) Listening to Yellowcard. Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! What a night! Great music and great friends...what more could a Josh Sullivan ask for? Let's start out with earlier in the day. I worked on and finished my latest column around 4am. I went to sleep and got up early because of being excited for the Lawrence Arms show. I worked all day and then I left with Nick so he could buy some shoes but he couldn't find any good ones. I bought a disposable camera and that turned out to be a good idea. Anyway, we got back to my house so I could make something to eat. Stu came over and Nick left. Stu-bee and I went to the Pier to take pictures. They are so funny! I can't wait to put them on here. He dropped me off at The Globe and I waited for Nick to meet up with to go to the show. We walked over there and met up with Joe and Anthony. We then walked down to Steve's Tavern to pry Stu away from his activities. The three of us walked back to the State Theatre. We stood in line for a bit and then went in. The Starting Line played first and they were ok but they sounded like your average emo band. They got theirselves off the stage and I saw Neil Hennessey (drummer of Lawrence Arms)and I said hey to him. I took some pictures of them setting up and doing a sound check. They then just busted out playing and I got right up front in the middle surrounded by all these emo kids that didn't know what was going on. They kept looking at me because I knew the words to these songs. The guys in the band kept looking at me from time to time because I was one of the few who was singing. It was so mystical and comforting to be singing along with my favorite band. They kept playing more and more and I was just going crazy! Brendan (bass and vocals) asked what we wanted to hear and I immediately screamed out "Hey, what time is Pensacola: Wings of Gold on anyway?", my favorite song ever. He then listened to what some girl had to say and then looked at me and reassured me that he heard me. They didn't play "Pensacola" but that was ok. The last song came up and Chris gets on the mic and says "This last song is dedicated to Josh Sullivan from Beef Stu!" What a huge, crazy shock to me!!!! Brendan then says, "We know Josh Sullivan right?" and then he asks where I am and I throw up my arms and I'm all giddy and freaked out. It made me so happy because of Stu doing that. What an awesome friend! So, that song was "100 Resolutions" and I sang every word and Chris kept looking at me, which made me feel awesome. It was completely a huge moment in my life. After that, I found Stu and gave him the biggest hug in the world. He said "How'd you like that?" and I kept thanking him. He then took off to go home. I ran into Brendan and asked him if he did remember me interviewing him and right away he said "Yeah! You were the guy who interviewed us behind that building" and I said "Yeah, in Orlando" and I was so geeked out over that! I gave him a JoshComics button and he put it on his shirt and I got a picture with him. The kid that took it said it was a really good pic. I then ran into Chris and I got a picture with him. It was just utterly amazing. I bought some shirts and the 12" to "Apathy and Exhaustion" and watched Yellowcard with my friend Nick and had a great time. We walked back to the Globe and went to McD's to get milk shakes. I'm at home now and I am just in awe over the night. Thank you Lawrence Arms!!!! -josh-

3-13-02 (part 2)
(9:07pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. A new Daily Art piece is up. It shows what I was doing a few hours ago. I am so tired. I need to sleep. Post on the new message board! The three animations that didn't work are fixed. Check them out! -josh-

3-13-02
(5:03pm) Listening to The Broadways. I'm reading the best Brendan Kelly interview right now. He's in Lawrence Arms. I'm wearing my bunny ears I bought grocery shopping last night and waiting for Stu to get out of work so we can go take pictures. Yay! I'm so tired. I have a bunch of stuff to do. I don't give a shit, though. It's nice out. I get to go hang out with my best friend. I get to see Lawrence Arms tomorrow with my friends. Am I being needy? Nah, just being human and having fun. -josh-

3-12-02 (part 2)
(11:39pm) Listening to the new Eels album and watching "Back to the Future 2." I am so exhausted. I went to the store earlier with Stu. My new Daily Art piece goes with my adventure there. I bought a Pavement CD today. I don't have much to type. It rained a little tonight. Oooo! Exciting!~ bye bye. -josh-

3-12-02
(1:44am) Watching "The Buddy Holly Story". Gary Busey will eat your children. *CHOMP* *CHOMP* I got a bunch of stuff done today! I did two, count 'em two paintings today. One was on canvas and looks swanky and the other was on a big fat tile. Joy came over to interview me for a class that she has to do a report on an artist. I gave her the whole history of the comics and stuff and I talked forever. I went back to 4th grade and talked about reading "Archie" and doing dumb kiddie comics. It felt good going down memory lane. Anyway, enjoy yourselves. -js

3-11-02
(5:15pm) Listening to The Usuals. Hey there, everyone! I have a brand new page up: Daily Art! I'm going to hopefully add a new drawing, cartoon, painted thing, or comic piece of shit here every day. Hope you enjoy them. I drew today's while sitting outside in the yard on the picnic table. It was nice and relaxing and I talked to Tony while I did it. It's real warm out. I took Slap down to the beach and she got freaked out like I was going to leave her there. I then was riding my bike up near Coffee Pot Bayou and she jumped out of her little carrying bag. I got home and decided to draw and that's where I came up with the idea for the new page. Let me know what you think about it. Love, josh!

3-10-02
(11:38pm) Watching Anthrax: Behind the Music. I used to listen to Anthrax back in the day. Ahh...childhood. I have so much to type on here. I hope I can remember it all.

After work Friday Night/Saturday morning, I left with Mitchy B as we ventured off to go hang out with Diana, Leah, and Annette. Mitchell kept playing songs on an acoustic guitar and everyone was trying to sleep. Then, we decided to watch "A/I" and I was really getting into it. I love the robots! Then, Mitchy B. kept singing songs about me and they were really funny but I wanted to go to sleep. I conked out and then him, me and Diana went and ate at Burger King. Went back to Leah's and I fell asleep. Mitchell left later and me and the girls went to go back to St. Pete after we stopped at Taco Bell. It was a great ride as we listened to Dead Milkmen and Sinatra. We went to Daddy Kool and they were having a huge CD/poster sale. There were tons of CDs at 5 for $10. I ended up getting 15 of them. I got a couple by this great heavy metal/ska band called Thumper and then some Glenn Miller, Elastica, Local H, Dave Hillyard, and the Lemonheads to name a few. I also got an Agent 51 poster. Went over and hung out at Star Booty after that. I then left and walked to the Globe to pick up my bike.

I felt dumb for kinda ditching Stu all day. Him and I were supposed to go to the Pier and draw. Man, Elastica is good, by the way. So, I got back to my lovely abode and he was outside hanging out with Tony. The three of us chatted about guy stuff for a bit and Stu took off to get food for a dinner he was making. I went upstairs and listened to my new music and Nick came over. Stu then got back and made a great meal. I even ate a couple pieces of shrimp. By the way, no pop for me in 8 days now. It was cool to be hanging out with my two bestest pals as we watched a taped "Northern Exposure" from the night before and as we made fun of "The Nick Cannon Show". I then went off to work.

The night was going real good until Mr. Bloodgusher decided to grace me with his presence. Bill came up to me and told me there was blood all over the bathroom and some punk ass had left it there from some fight wound. I ran out so fast and caught up with him and was screaming for him to clean up his mess. He took off and then I was super pissed. I was walking around with steam coming out of my ears. His friend came back and cleaned up the mess, which was real cool of him. I then sprayed it all down and things were ok. Later on in the night, a cop was harassing this girl and there were three cops that all came down to take care of this incident of a jerk hole of a pig. Geez...leave the kids alone. I went home and almost passed out from lack of sleep.

I woke up at about 3pm and it was really hot in my apt. but then I zonked out again. I woke up at 5:30 and Diana had left a message on my machine. Her and Annette then came over and we made cupcakes..well, Diana and I did. Dumb Joe was supposed to come over but he didn't. It was real fun. We watched all sorts of stuff and I played some Dance Hall Crashers and the kittie was a cute as can be. They left and now I've been typing for awhile and I go bye-bye now. E-mail me or post on the guestbook, you! -josh-

3-8-02 (part 2)
(4:38pm) Listening to Face First. Hey there, everyone! It is so nice and warm out and I'm all happylike and...blee! Check out this awesome comic Itzia made for me:

Raining Men

Sheesh! Slap is always wanting to jump on me when I'm on the computer. Gah! I should turn on the air conditioner. It's 84 out now. I woke up at 7am and I got all the stuff together that I needed to mail off. I sent off so many flyers and comic stuff all over the country. Hope everyone likes them. Work was A-ok and then I left and after the post office I went to the bank and got to say hey to Nicolette. I hopped on my bike and was listening to Telegraph. It was great because it felt like a MI summer out. Hmm..I have stuff to do for Sterling's site and the new Globe site so I'll be back atcha, Mr. Patcha. -josh!

3-8-02
(12:22am) Listening to The Broadways. Today, I worked all day and then when I had a few hours off, Nick and I headed to the mall. I bought lots of ZIM stuff, the movie "Snow Day", and the Akira toys I didn't have that I put on my toy-let. Umm...I got invited to go to the San Diego con again! So, it's official...I'm a comic dork. Here's a comic by Richard Cameo about my day:

Josh Goes to the Mall as a Dork by Richard

See you later, A.C. Slater. -josh-

3-6-02
(12:22am) Listening to The Broadways. I watched "Back to the Future Part 3" tonight! I was smiling the whole time. What a great trilogy.

Sorry the site was down for a bit tonight. I'm not, though, because that means that there are a bunch of hits to be had on this trashpile I call joshcomics.com. Slowly, I am mailing out more and more stuff. Thank you to Cameron and Tracy for spreading the word big time on the comics. "I'm at another loss for words." bye bye Gangstas! E-mail me! -jOsH-

3-5-02
(12:37am) Listening to Lawrence Arms (ooo..what a surprise!). Join the e-group, chump! I got a bunch of people in there and I offered them free stuff so if you like free comic junk from my mind, then get your little e-mail address submitted on there. I'm done typing. Sign the guestbook, Dudley! -josh-

3-4-02
(3:54am) Listening to the rain. After wanting to completely redo the site, I decided not to and only a few changes were made. Go to: http://www.toddbot.com/megareport.html for Todd Webb's write-up on the comic con last week. He has some funny pics of him, me, Ninja Bob, Bred, George Lowe (Space Ghost), and everyone else. Go there now! Hurry back. There's still more words to be read.

Ok, you delicious patch, here's the rest of the stuffs. You better have watched "Welcome to Eltingville" on Cartoon Network tonight. It was so good. I love you, Evan Dorkin. Write CN and tell them we want more Eltingville:

Adult Swim
1065 Williams St. NW
Atlanta, GA 30309

Turner Broadcasting System Inc.
Cartoon Network
1050 Techwood Drive NW
Atlanta, GA 30318

I would love to see it get turned into a weekly show. I mean, for fuck's sake, The Aquabats do the theme song! Adult Swim has some bland suff on it right now so it needs some revamping. So, anyway, Nick, Stu and I watched it and had a merry time. "Space Ghost: CTC" was on after "Eltingville" and it was probably the most hilarious episode ever. SG had a shark on the show and a bear kept chasing after them. Willie Nelson was there, too. It was a rerun. There was another old one on after that and I was all giddy. Oh yeah! Before that, Nick and I watched "Newsies" with everyone's favorite "Doogie Howser" character, Vinnie (Max Casella), in it.

I slept all day. I'm a bum. I think I'm going to drop a lot of the odd jobs I've taken up. I want to get the hell away from web design because 1. It sucks ass, 2. I'm not that good at it, 3. I have yet to see a dime from doing people's sites (this isn't a big deal but when I could be doing other things then I feel like time is money), 4. It sucks ass. Gah!

I downloaded the trailer to the BTTF DVD box set. It's the same one that was featured on the Jurassic Park DVD from Australia. There's supposed to be a new trailer coming out on the official "Back to the Future" DVD box set site. What a life to be loving this stuff! I love you, too. -josh-

3-1-02 (part 2)
(4:32pm) Listening to Rude Squad. Hiya kids! Go check out www.comicworldnews.com to read my review of Jay Stephens' "Oddville!" collection. You can then pass out from reading these following Daily Words:

I just got back from going to the grocery store by myself and it was so depressing. I've gotten used to going with either Nick or Stu and it was just me by myself. I didn't cause trouble, I was courteous, and I even told a kid to slow down because he was running around. Gah! What's wrong with me? I went to the post office after I got out of work and talked to Erich and mailed off junk. I actually got a chance to write some letters. I got a letter from the intelligent, extremely beautiful, and one of my favorite people ever in the whole world: Jen Thompson. I am so excited about her returning for the summer in a few months. Hurry up, May!

I found out that the "Back to the Future" DVD box set is going to be released this year! I'm one happy Josh. I proceeded to look into how much a DeLorean cost. Let me tell you, it's a lot more than buying a bike. A DeLorean is now my new dream car. The grand station wagon falls to second. I have to get CDs together for me DJing tonight at work. No one likes me or my music. Ha ha ha! It's fun being able to sing along to stuff and work. Eat my toast, coffee demons!

I just drank the last Coke I had. I am going to give up pop again. Let's see how long I can go. Last time, it was 2 months. I have developed a horrible addiction to Butterfingers, though. Maybe it has something to do with me being Bart Simpson. Sheesh, I delusional. Bye bye Gangsta Nips! -josh-

3-1-02
(3:12am) Listening to Jawbreaker. Happy damn March, peoples! How goes everything? I just got done cleaning up my stupid, stupid e-mail (remember the Dexter's Lab episode done by that 7-year-old where Dexter keeps telling everyone they are "Stoooopid"?). I also just got two of my big mail out things together finally. I'm sending Cameron a bunch of flyers and that's heading to Valrico. I am sending off big art to Tracy packaged in cardboard and I drew the coolest stuff on it. There's a robot behind a fence and then a dinosaur with a harpoon announcing "Rowrr" and then saying "Stay behind that fence, robot!" Gah ha ha ha! I have a lot more people to write and mail stuff off to so be patient if you want a lock of my hair or some toenails. Yeah right, people write me telling me to stop sending that stuff.

I downloaded the Eltingville theme song tonight! Hoo hah! It was movie night tonight at work and "Heavy Metal/Punk Karaoke" was shown courtesy of Margaret. It was a cool documentary. I then chilled with Julia and we made fun, funn, phun comics. She gave me a ZIM shirt and I hugged it until Zim's eye fell off. I should be sleeping. I never wake up early anymore. It's always like 10 minutes before I have to leave. I need to buy some groceries. I think it's been about 3 weeks since I really went grocery shopping. Oh yeah, Lou left. I have my apt. to myself again. Man, now is the time I wish I had a camera handy. My most adorable kittie, Slap, is all curled up on my bed and is just beckoning me to go over to her and make goo goo noises at her. Give me your "Back to the Future" stuff. love, josh!

2-28-02
(12:46am) Listening to Honor System. It's cold out. The wind chill right now is 36 and the actual temp is supposed to get down to 30 tonight. I'm glad my lush vegetation is nice and warm in my pants.

I got out of work and made hip new quarter sheet size flyers and catalogs of what I have left for sale in the comic book department. I got home and did my usual dumb Josh stuff: check e-mail, eat chips, levitate around my apt., etc. Lou got back from wherever a Lou goes on a chilly day alone in St. Pete. I then proceeded to clean my closet because I was in search of a big envelope to mail Tracy the pic she bought off of me. I didn't find one so cardboard will have to do. My closet looks very nice though. So, Lou and Stu and I hung out and watched Simpsons and honestly, it was a great moment. I've known those two since before my hair became spiky; roughly when I was a 5-year-old, so it's something to see the three of us together having a blast and hanging out 1300 miles away from our hometown. Stu left and I had to make sure he had enough warm weather stuff because of the cold weather tonight and he did. Nick called and he's been sick lately so I was concerned about him. He let me know he was doing fine and then proceeded to rub it in some more that he has digital cable. I'd kill to see some "Ghost Writer" action. That ass. Lou and I got some pizza and then I flopped my skinny white ass into bed and took a nap. I woke up for "Northern Exposure" and was ready to go to bed but I decided to type out some of these shenanigans so there was something new for the people who look here. I'm sorry I'm boring. Someday, I'll be as cool as Dustin Diamond. Thank you for all the e-mails and the guestbook/mess board action. I'm sending out flyers and such to you tomorrow Cameron. Skadios! -josh-

2-27-02 (part 2)
(1:43am) Listening to Yellowcard. Monday I got to sleep in a little but then Lou got dropped off. That is World Famous, known since I was 4, is Cliff in the comics Lou from Saginaw! It was really good to have him decide to visit me. We walked around and I showed him the sites. Stu came over and stole Lou to go to the bar and that gave me time to work on my Daily Words. I left and went to my P.O. Box. Julia wrote the best letter to me in the whole world. I won't get into detail about it but it has given me a lot of confidence in myself over this whole comic thingie I got going. I then worked last night and it was pretty busy. It was good seeing everyone again though and telling them about the con. Lou stayed with me til I finished up and we walked back to my apartment. I ran into Marcus. I hadn't talked to him in many, many months. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to FL. Lou and I got back to my place. I couldn't sleep so I organized stuff and put my junk away from the trip. We decided to watch "Ghost World" and I did net stuff. I turned it off at about 4:15am and I turn on Cartoon Network. Low and behold, the Evan Dorkin cartoon "Welcome to Eltingville" was on!!!! I was so, so excited and happy. It was a little test showing of it before it airs on Sunday at 11pm. I was going to call Julia because I needed someone to be as excited about as me but I didn't. Lou could care less about it. I got on the AOL Evan Dorkin message board and posted about it. People called me lucky for seeing it. Yay me! I didn't get to sleep til 6am though.

I woke up groggy and headed out into the warm day and off to work. I got a check in the mail for a piece of art I sold. I took Lou Lou to Star Booty to meet Lee and then over to Daddy Kool. My flyers went like crazy from both places (and the Globe, too). I got a ton of e-mails about people liking them. I re-bought the Asian Man releasd Honor System CD, a Possum Dixon CD, and a comp. We then traveled to the post office and I talked with my very good pal Erich as we talked crap and I gave him all my money for my bills so I could get money orders.

We got back to my place and I called up Stephanie. She came over and then fell asleep. I fell asleep for a second and then she left. Lou then decided he wanted to walk around and explore. I took a nice little nap and woke up to watch Northern Exposure. I was worried because I didn't know where Louski went. I called Stu after his dad talked to me for awhile on the phone. Then, this lady called me and told me that she was a cab driver and that I had to come downstairs. Lou had miraculously became Drunken Lou. He puked in the cab and I paid his fare for him. He then got out and decided to sleep in the road. He almost got ran over but these cool guys were looking after him for a few minutes. Lou is now laying in some vomit-soaked clothes and stinking up my bathroom. His glasses are laying somewhere outside. I should go see if I can find them. Goodnight nurse! -josh!

2-27-02
(1:10am) Listening to Day 19. Ok, I have to finish with the rest of my MegaCon story. Here is Sunday:

Bred and I got to the con and he wanted to park really far away to "save me $2." I told him I'd pay $1,000 to park if the damn convention center was right across the street. I had so much crap to lug in. I saw Todd wasn't at his table so I headed over to George Lowe's table. He is such a nice guy! I gave him the mask and the cigar and he signed some stuff for me and Billy. I heard him swear in the Space Ghost voice and I gave him my only JoshComics button. He said he was going to put it on his hat. Wowza!

Met up with Todd and Ninja Bob. It was pretty much the same thing as Saturday with handing out comics and acting nuts. Bred then decided he was going to hand out comics to punk kids. Well, that turned out to be a great idea! He got rid of so many of them for me and it didn't have to be shy little me handing them out. I got a lot of response from him doing that. Todd and I bought movie poster reproductions after getting my picture with fake Luke Perry and our picture together looking so damn cool giving a thumbs up. We came up with the idea that we are now super-heroes and that our tag line is "Thumbs up for justice!" I got a "Back to the Future" and "Freaks" poster and Todd got some awesome older ones with robots and aliens. Todd and I are the robot kings.

I ended up getting a Tommy Bond autographed pic from a dealer when I went with Mr. ToddBot as he sold off his "Stockboy" comics. I chatted with Josh Blaylock and thanked him for being an influence on me back in my huge heyday of ska and when I was starting out with comics. The Troma people gave us a free DVD because they liked the punk comics. That was pretty much it for the con. I said my goodbyes to Todd after we took more fun pictures (*sniff* *sniff* what a great time! Thank you Todd!!!). Bred and I rushed back to his car to try to get to Bill's by 6pm before he went to go see Sean-na-na. We got there a little bit late but it was ok. We said our goodbyes to everyone there and piled all my junk back into the car. I'm really happy I have such great friends.

Back on I-4 and traffic was hectic again. We were really hungry but we wanted to wait til we got out of Orlando til we bought anything. Another traffic jam and past Kissimmee, we stopped at a McDonald's. Bred hates going through the drive-thru and I hate going inside but we go in anyway. Everything is automated and you have to punch in your order on a touch screen. You couldn't tell an actual person what you wanted. I got so mad. I never have been more angry in my life. Everytime I wanted something else, a dumb computer voice lady would tell me to get an Extra Value Meal or something. I was screaming at the damn computer and everyone was looking at me. It's boiling my blood just thinking about it. Service was slow as trash...probably due to the fact that the workers there weren't robots. I ate fries and apple pies.

We drove back through Tampa and eventually into St. Petersburg. What a glorious trip! Bred dropped me off and he hung out a little and then left. Nick came over and I showed him my junk I bought and then he took off. I was and still am one happy little Josh!

2-25-02 (part 2)
(6:48pm) Listening to Space Ghost: Coast to Coast's Musical Bar-B-Que. Here's me back again to make you vomit and scream obscenities at your computer. I'm just chillin' here with Stu and Lou. Us Saginaw brats are all together now to overtake St. Pete. Below me and Luke Perry is my recount of my weekend in Orlando:

Lukey, baby. Give me your pool key.

Bred took a thousand hours longer than he said he was going to. He came over and I piled my bags into his car and we went over to The Globe to see some people before we left. He was handing out roses he got from his work that no one wanted. I saw Liz and talked to her for a few minutes. We got on the highway and it was rainy and fun to be escaping St. Petersburg. I put in some Lawrence Arms and we got the hell out of Pinellas County.

Traffic was a true bitch and that will pop up a lot in my little writing here. We did pretty good with our Yahoo! supplied directions. We got to Orlando and then the illustrious Bill Nord's house. I was so excited to see him because I hadn't since January 2000! Him and a bunch of his friends (that soon became a bunch of our friends) were there and having a great old time. They made us feel right at home and they were all really kind to Bred and me. It was great to see Bill and I gave him some comics and showed him my "Schizo" books. Everyone ended up leaving except Bill and his girlfriend. We watched some weird movie and then he showed me most of the famous "Flapjacks & Fannypacks" video tape. I hadn't laughed so hard in my life. It is great! Hopefully, someday it is mass-produced and available for old granny ladies to purchase for themselves and their hep grandkids. I showed him some of my dub-over tapes after I embarassed myself by showing the tape of me on the news when I was 16. It was getting pretty late; about 3am I think. We went to bed and that was it for Friday.

Bred woke me up around noon and it was still cold and rainy out. It didn't take me long to get ready as I threw on my Josh Sullivan Comics! shirt and my gaudy puke green/yellow sprt coat making it's second con appearance. I was told I was talking in my sleep. I had a ton of flyers and comics to lug with me and in the rain, too. We got in and we didn't know where we went after we paid admission. We walked upstairs at the Orlando Convention Center and there was a big line-up for something that turned out to be for a panel that Kevin Smith was talking at. A dumb guy in a suit yelled, "Sorry, this room is all filled up!" I fell down on the floor and got up acting like I had a limp and I kept saying "My diseases are killing me." After I said that, I was real sad that I had to walk up a bunch of stairs just to find out Fat Kevin Smith was up there. I hate that guy.

We went downstairs and went into the con. It was packed with punks, emo kids, really cute girls and the usual amount of comics fanboys. Somehow, we gravitated right up to the table that the famous Todd Webb was at selling his comics. I screamed "I love this stuff!" and he screamed "Josh Sullivan!" and we were so happy to finally meet each other face to face after talking back and forth for the past 3 years. He immediately told me to come behind the table and was really nice in letting me put my stuff back there. I was introduced to Ninja Bob from Spring Hill and Franco, the guy who Todd came down to Orlando with and works on the awesome "Patrick the Wolf Boy" comic. Ninja Bob and I knocked over some of his paintings a few times and he kept getting irritated with us. Me more so because I'm pretty loud and Todd and I kept screaming stuff out and even singing the parts of "Rock the Casbah" we know, reciting "Ghost World" lines and singing Mohammed Rafi. Todd is going to have pics of a lot of this stuff on his site. We have one of us behind the guy who was in the "Lost in Space" robot waving as Bred took a pic from far away because the inside-the-robot guy was mean and said Todd had to pay money to take his picture. We then acted all sly after getting the pic. I ran up to Bred as he handed the camera to me and then I kept walking and then handed it to Todd.

So, anyway, I hung out at Todd's table and gave out flyers and even sold some comics (thank you again Todd for letting me do this). Some people were even coming up to me and recognizing my stuff from being in the 'zine "Burn Brandon." Todd and I ran around and took pictures and I didn't really buy stuff which was really good of me. Back at the table, I saw a guy that starred in the FJ&FP video and asked him, "Are you friends with Bill Nord?" and he said he was. He got excited that I knew Bill and I told him I was staying at his house. I looked down on his jacket and there was a JoshComics button. How rad...how super rad! That brings me to Todd and I singing Aquabats songs. We are so good and the parts he didn't know on songs, I didn't know. He is the one week older and slightly taller version of me. Todd's friend Kyle showed up (he told me beforehand that Kyle acted just like us and he didn't disappoint) and brought his friend Josh. They were awesome, too. I talked to them and gave them comics. The con got over and them two, Todd, Bred, and me decided to all go off on an adventure.

The five of us got into Kyle's car and traffic was really crappy. There were cars everywhere. We didn't know where we were going and so Kyle had to turn around. All of a sudden, in the traffic that everyone is not driving right in anyway, an ambulance is coming down the two-lane road. The cars made room and got as far to the left or right as possible. People didn't go back into the lanes properly right away so Kyle just went down the path the ambulance took. It was so funny. We felt like kings and we were laughing so much. I love these people! It probably saved us about a half-hour being stuck in the mess. By the way, it was still raining and the windows kept getting fogged up. We got to Todd's hotel and he dropped off his stuff and we all took off to get food. We decided on Wendy's. In line there, Todd and I continued with acting out "Ghost World" scenes. We got to the front of the line and he wanted to buy a toy for kids 3 and under but they were all out. All they had were these lame Clifford, the Big Red Dog toys. I kept yelling at him not to buy it because his sister might choke on it. We were just acting because his sister wasn't even there and she's 17 anyway. Ha ha! I got a brocolli and cheese potato and some fries. Josh got a hamburger that looked so good. I was going to take it from him and declare myself a meat-eater once again but I restrained myself. Afterwards, we went to a store across the street and the fun continued.

Dodging traffic in the dark and in the rain in Orlando is fun when it's with 4 other guys. This store we went to was a typical tourist store. They had mugs with your name on them and postcards with stuff on it like "See you later, Alligator." We had so much fun browsing and finding stuff we wanted. I got buttons that said "I do all my own nude scenes" and one that asked that age old question, "Where's the Beef?" Todd bought a big yellow sign that said "Kids Zone" on it with a horrible drawing of a kid on a scooter on it and some crazy word balloon stickers in different languages and some that were just thought balloons with images in them. Josh bought one of those kid restrainer things you put on your wrist and on their wrist so your brats don't run away. He put it on Kyle and it was so funny seeing them run across the street like that. We got across and noticed that in the cement were bare footprints of someone with big feet. We put all of our feet around it and took a picture of it. We got to the car, nearly left Todd at Wendy's because he had to go to the bathroom, and then Kyle dropped the Bred and I off at his car.

Bred and I got to Todd's hotel room and went in and just relaxed. "Samurai Jack" was on the tube and Todd was going through the comics he got. We took the "Kids Zone" sign and tried to figure out what needed to be added on it. He put a word balloon on of the kid remarking "Fatso!" and then one of the kid thinking of a cruise ship. We hung out for a bit and Todd showed me some of his great art in his sketchbook. I love Todd's comics. Kyle and Josh had to go and Bred and this Josh were going to vamoose as well. The awesome thing is that those two live in Brandon so I'll be able to see them when they come to St. Pete for shows probably. I was really happy to meet them and then we took off to Bill's house. Here came the damn traffic nightmare.

We got back on I-4 and it was ok for a little bit. As we got more towards downtown Orlando, the cars started getting slower and slower and then it was just down to a dead stop. We were making the best of it and listening to music and complaining. We got up to where these dumb cops were making people getting off the interstate and we ended up being somewhere else. Bred kept trying to get back on the highway and all the on ramps were being blocked by pigs. We stayed close to I-4 and then found an unblocked ramp and were one of only a few cars going our way. We wondered what the hell had happened. It was kind've scary. All this and it was still rainy. We got back to Bill's house and there was this girl Tara there. We freaked her out because she didn't know we were staying there and now she was staying there because she got kicked out. We turned on the TV and Bred checked his e-mail and did computer stuff. On the news, they said that the traffic backup was mysterious and possibly due to potholes. Bill later told us that it was because a beer truck crashed. The cops probably had to get in and get their share of it. I checked my mail and I had already gotten a few things from people saying they met me at the con and that they liked my stuff. I even got some mail from St. Pete kids who wanted to tell me they were fans of mine. I even sold my "Josh and Also" pic from the site. Whee! I watched TV some more and I drew a little bit and so did Bred. I was almost ready to go to bed around 1:30 when Bill came home and asked if we wanted to go over to his friend Heather's house. Bred and I got our shoes on and headed out.

There were a bunch of us over at Heather's and I immediately started drawing. I drew a pic of Billy and his friend Eric (they do "Billy and Eric" comics that are so good!). Bill said it was time for shots. I hardly drink but I did this night. I had some shots of something and other alcohol and ended up getting pretty wacky. I drew a funny pic when I was drunk of "Drunken Josh". It was a lot of fun, though. I danced and laughed and threw up and ate cheese. This went on for awhile and I kept saying funny things like, "Go back to New York, two-stepper". Then I saw someone shining a flashlight at the door and I said "The Flashlight Brigade is here!" Turns out it was a cop. I walked Edward Scissorhands style over to a closet and acted like I was a puppet. El Coppo left and I came out and proceeded to keep telling everyone I acted like a puppet. Ha ha ha! I fell asleep on a floor for a minute and then in a bed almost but Bill said we were going back to his house. He had to carry Bred out of bed. I can't believe how funny that was until now. HA! 6am in Orlando and being with friends, new and kind've old...gotta love it! We got back and everyone went to sleep.

Bill woke me up on Sunday and I was so happy to see that it was sunny out. It was warm, too, finally. He told me to take this weird Halloween mask and a cigar to give to George Lowe, the voice of Space Ghost.

TO BE CONTINUED! HAVE TO GO TO WORK!

2-25-02
(3:03am) Listening to Johnny Socko. I'm going to be adding a whole summary of the MegaCon later today. Check back soon. I'm a tired little Potsie Webber fan. skadios! -josh!

2-22-02
(5:42pm) Listening to Limp (not Bizkit). It's a crummy, rainy day out and I should be taking a nap. Bred is going to be over here in a bit to pick me up as we head off to the comic convention. I have so much stuff packed for my little weekend getaway...even more than the stuff I took for the San Diego con and I stayed over a week out there! I'm going to promote the hell out of the comics. That brings me to something I was just thinking about. If there is anyone out there in trashy Internetland that wants to help hand out flyers or comics to unsuspecting people, let me know by signing the guestbook or by e-mailing me (sullivanjosh@hotmail.com. If you do, I'll send you a bunch of crap to hand out, some other special comic odds and ends and maybe even my cat. I want to form a little street team. I'm kicking my ass into high gear to get my stuff out there and get myself a tiny bit famous so I can work towards making a living off of this crap.

Phil and Mandy are the only ones that indicated that they read my Words. That being so, I will now write messages to you two and we can be like three best friends. Let's go to the ice cream social and beat up the emo kids and take their parents money that's staying healthy yet festering away at the same time in their khakis. We can then buy ice cream and then even buy our own emo kid. "Come here, emo kid! Bring me some pop." "Go to the party store, emo kid! I need some cigs." Ha ha ha! Whee! I love you guys. -josh!

2-21-02
(1:57am) Listening to Choking Victim. The Chauncey Collection is out! Buy one right now! I sold a few of them tonight so that rocks. I also got more people to join my e-group. I have more people in mine than in the Adult Swim one. I didn't really do much but work on that and sleep. I went to The Globe and hung out with my friends. It was a lot of fun. Oh! I talked to the famous Bill Nord before that. He's so cool. I have wax lips in right now. It's nice and windy out. I made copies of some JoyComics tonight (notice the resemblence to JoshComics? She is awesome). I flubbed up and lost the original to one of her comics. Then, I locked Bred's keys in his car. Thankfully, Tori got them out with the use of a broom handle to unlock the door. Then, I danced and sang songs about sex and sandwiches.

I am so tired right now. I'm glad my kittie is being so lovey right now. I hate it when she gets mean. It's nice to be loved. Hey! Do me a favor. If you are reading this, please either sign the guestbook or post on the message board. It'd be cool to see who still reads this junk. Maybe I'll build a robot to type words out on the site every night if no one is. Anywho...goodnight. love, josh!

2-20-02
(2:41am) Watching Northern Exposure. Hey there, kids! I added a bunch of new pictures and all of the latest paintings are up. There are a handful of them that are for sale so buy one right now, you! I'm going to be adding new buddy icons that Josh Griffith made for various holidays. Check out the green-haired St. Patrick's Day Josh.

I had a really good nap and now I'm making sure my fingers fall off by typing a bunch of junk on here. Tomorrow, I'm putting out flyers at Daddy Kool Records and Star Booty. I am also releasing the Chauncey collection. The first printing will be limited to 50 copies and it is $3. Let me know if you'd like me to hold one.

I need a break. I'm itching to read stuff and start learning new things. I want to get smarter and eventually become a supreme overlord of the planet. I don't read that much anymore and it really bugs me. Sterling's site took a lot of of me and now I'm getting used to working on that more. My site takes a lot of time out of my day. I am obsessed with Northern Exposure and I watch that for 2 hours a day. I also work and sleep and eat. I squeeze in other things like catching up on e-mail and sending out my weekly newsletter. I should scale back. Maybe I should get an assistant. Ha ha ha! I really considered doing that back in the heyday of the super comic frenzy in high school.

I want you people to write me snail mail. I've been getting more of it finally and I realized once again that everyone is too lazy to send me stuff. I'm even lazier. I don't even write my mom. I'm so horrible.

I watched part of "Puff Daddy: Behind the Music" tonight. I love those things. I wish they'd do one on Mace. I just saw him on BET the other night. He is a priest now but I betcha he raps his sermon. "Puffy Combs, Puffy Combs, me want Puffy Combs..." Fuck you. -josh-

2-18-02 (part 2)
(11:30pm) Listening to Alkaline Trio. I just spent a bunch of time rearranging my luscious abode. Nick came over and helped and we had fun talking shit like we always do.

Stalker Alert! New stalkers have popped up in my neck of the woods. If you are reading this stalker girls, leave me alone! I don't need relationship problems. I'm in the prime of my little hardworking creative career and people automatically making me their boyfriend does not help at all. I'm just going to stay in my apt. all day and not answer my messages and be happy. Fuck all of you pests!

Lou is coming down here to visit! Yay-hoo! I hope he brings me a fruit basket. -josh-

2-18-02
(2:08am) Listening to Slapstick. Not too much is new. Stu and I went to the store and caused a lot of trouble and we had such a fun time together. I love having Stu as my best friend. Hopefully, after all these years he feels the same way. It was busy at work last night and I got so pissed off at some people. I stayed up til 9am and put the Chauncey collection together and watched Buster Keaton. I woke up and called family members and actually got to talk to my mom who I haven't heard from in over a month. It was really nice to talk to her. I sounded like I'm maturing while I was on the phone. Weird. I then called my dad and then my aunt after that. I told her I didn't want to hear anymore of her talking shit about my mom. Them two don't get along with each other at all. I gave the cat a bath and hung out with Stephanie. I'm getting excited about this weekend and going to see Bill Nord. Sign my guestbook, Potsie! -josh!

2-14-02
(12:33am) Listening to Lawrence Arms.

Happy Trashy Valentine's Day! Anyone need some love? I slept all day or else I would've updated this earlier. I was exhausted from staying up all night working on Sterling's site. Anyone interested in checking it out, go here: www.sterlingpowell.net.

I made it to 15,000 hits! Thank you everyone! If you want to see a screen shot of the site at exactly 15,000 then click here. Julia brought the Oddville collection for me. I'm going to write a review of it for Comic World News. EEee! Thank you Julia! Very tempted to watch Ghost World right now. Maybe I will while I work on site shit. It's rainy out.

Oh! The hardworking Saginawian himself, Josh Griffith, has made even more AIM buddy icons. You can get your grubby and greasy computer paws on them by checking out the "Fun" page on this very site. Oi! -josh-

2-12-02
(7:34pm) Listening to Atom and His Package. I got the new Lawrence Arms and an older Atom CD! LA is playing here on March 14th I found out. I am in heaven. I worked all day and now I have to work all night on Sterling's site but I am going to take a nap after I finish this. I am done actually. I love you. -josh-
p.s. Thank you for the almost 15,000 hits! Bling!

2-11-02
(4:36pm) How did I manage to not update the Words in 5 days?! Sheesh! Sorry about that, you nosy fucks. I just spent awhile making my computer not broke. Almost had to get rid of Windows XP...but I didn't at the last minute. I saw this awesome show early this morning on Movie Plex. It's called "Our Hero" and it's about this girl who does this 'zine and it's actually really good. It's not too kiddie and it was funny. In the episode, she wants to do something gutsy for the 'zine, so she interviews a crazy guy. She invites him over to her house for dinner but then realizes that she is a moron and she goes and hides in the basement. He comes over and starts shouting, "YOU TOLD ME TO COME OVER HEREEEEE!!!" and he breaks a window like crazy people generally do. It is fabtastic.

New Comic of the Week up. I've been working on Sterling's site and driving myself nuts. I don't want to do web design. I want to draw comics but now I don't have time. I've been exhausted and so sleep has also been taking up a lot of time. I don't even have time to prepare for the Orlando MegaCon. My fingers hurt from typing. I haven't seen Stu since Tuesday. This being by myself thing is heaven. I'm getting antsy again of wanting to move away to a new place. If I go somewhere else, I can do what I want and this time I'll be smart enough to say no when people ask if I want to work on a project for them. Oh, that reminds me. All the asses who have art of mine and promised to pay me, you can all burn in giant vat of molten toe skin. I mean, if my art isn't even good enough for people to pay me, then why would they want to take it from me? I use that shit for decoration in my apt. I have a ton of new pics developed. I can't scan them because of el shit ay scanner. I'm going to be rich someday and when stuff doesn't work, I'll throw it out my window and buy a new one.

The "Best of Josh Sullivan Collection" is in the early stages but I briefly looked at the pages that will be in it. It's going to be a nice book and hopefully give the Florida people a sense of me before I moved down here. The Chauncey collection keeps getting pushed back. I wish Gerry Fried was real and he could put the damn book together. I sold the big painted Chauncey magnet! I have all my new paintings for sale. If interested, e-mail me and I'll send you a hefty price list for them. Give me all of your money.

The lovely Dirty Josh Love Pad was infested with fleas but I'm happy to report that that has been taken care of. Slap even came out of the experience with some new food. Hoo-rah! That's it. Eat my socks. -josh-

2-6-02 (part 2)
(10:56pm) Listening to The Broadways. I just woke up from my second nap of the night. The cat kept drooling on me and I kept drooling on myself so I found it hard to be sleeping when my bed is turned into a pool. I got one of the best things in the world today: My Family Tree! One of the Sullivans back up in Saginaw has been researching it for awhile now and he had printed up a copy for me and my Aunt Ann sent it to me. I adore it. It made my heart beat real fast when I looked at it. I think Saginaw was the epicenter for all the Sullivan madness. So, I took a nap and woke up at 6 to go to the Dali Museum. They were having an art show there and Pam had some stuff in it. I got there and all these people I knew were there but I didn't remember their names. They kept coming up to me and I felt like such a dope. It was fun though. I hadn't been to the Dali in forever. Everytime I go there, I get so inspired to do something cool. Dan, Phil, Pam, and I took some time out to look at Dali's art and paintings. I ran into the Dancing Goblin himself, Drew, and some of his friends. I hung out with them and ended up meeting this great girl named Jamie (Pretty sure this was her name but you know me...Mr. Forgetful). She made my legs turn to jelly. In tow was her little brother Dominick. He rocked! I think he was about 3 or 4. I gave him my JoshComics button I had on my shirt. I waved at this other kid at one point and he gave me the most horrible look and I swear he wanted to kill me. Damn computer generation. Haw haw! Hung outside for a bit by the water and a dolphin swam close by. I think he had some Dancing Goblin on his mind for dinner. I went home and watched Buster Keaton and then went to sleep. What another craptastic Josh Day. Bye bye. NX is on. -josh!

2-6-02
(12:35am) Listening to 88.5 FM WMNF. I got Ghost World! It is so awesome and the DVD has the music video for the Mohammed Rafi song, deleted scenes, the trailers, and a few other things. I love it! Nick, Stu, and I watched it. Yep, things are cool between me and Stu. He got a place to stay and things seem ok between us. I also bought the Simpsons Season 1 box set (can't beat hearing Homer in French) and one of those new flat screen TVs (no, not the ones you hang on your wall but the flat picture tube ones). It is so cool. It was like I was watching the DVDs at the movie theater because of the great picture and sound. I cut Nick's hair while we watched The Simpsons. You have to buy them. There's so much extra stuff and old stuff I don't even remember seeing like when Bart and his class go to the power plant on a field trip and there is a sign that says, "Visitors Will Be Shot". Ha ha ha! That's it. Bye bye. -josh!

2-5-02
(4:26pm) Listening to The Broadways. I'm just sitting here reading a letter I got from my dad. My stupid cutting board fell out of my cabinet and smacked me in the back of the head last night. I'm feeling really good, though. I just bought a book called "Comics, Comix, & Graphic Novels: A History of Comic Art" from Bossa Nova. It's such a cool book. I saw a page with Evan Dorkin and "Milk & Cheese" being described in there and I just had to buy it. I'm waiting on Nick. Him and I are going to Best Buy and I am getting "Ghost World" baby! I'm so excited about it. I also might buy a bigger TV because I'm getting sick of the 13" one. Northern Exposure will look cooler on a big TV anyway.

Vertical Composition!

Hit that link and read my brand new column (#3). It's a story about a robot and a guy named Dog. Tell me what you think about it by leaving a message under it. That's it for now. I love you. -josh-

2-4-02
(4:44pm) Listening to Big D and the Kids Table. I got home from work about 3:30 Sunday morning and all of Stu's stuff was gone and now I have my place back to myself. I'm really liking it being this way. I don't know where he is. He can go live at the bar for all I care. I just got back from taking Slap to the Bay. She was so cute because she thought I was going to leave her there. She was walking on the beach and looking at all the different kinds of birds but she wouldn't leave my side. Now, she's all happy and tuckered out. I cleaned everything before we left so that put me in a good mood. I'm pretty much back to normal save for a little neck ache still. Yay! No sicky sick! I love you. -josh-

2-2-02
(4:37am) Watching "The Adventures of Pete and Pete." I just yelled at Stu. I came home to find him passed out from another night at the bar. I told him that if he doesn't find an apt. that he is out of here by Monday. I'm seriously pissed off at him. I also told him that I'm setting the alarm for 9am to ensure a full day of apartment hunting. With me being sick, I haven't had a real appetite. Now, with me getting better I go to eat my food and it's all gone. Stu has been eating all of it and not even being considerate enough to leave the last of something. So, I bitched at him about that. It felt good to get that out to him. I didn't back down and I stood firm that I meant what I said. I'm sick of him spending his money on beer instead of saving for a place and I just really need my place back to myself. I go and tell him he doesn't have to give me any money to stay here or for food and he went to the maximum level of it. Grrrr!

My good pal Todd Webb sent me six episodes of Pete and Pete on tape and a bunch of his awesome comics. I gave out some Toddzilla books tonight. Anyone want my Satanic kittie? She drives me more and more nuts everyday. I told Alexis, who is back from school for the weekend, that I would trade Slap for her brand new puppie she just got. I'm off to bed. I think I'm going to go skinboarding later today with Phil. I can't wait to make a fool of myself that way. -josh!

1-31-02
(9:27pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms and reading The Comics Journal. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN! Hey Words. Fancy me meeting up with you here. I'm getting better but I still have weird neck pains. I talked to Leeska Boh-beeska yesterday for awhile. That was nice. It's really, really good to talk to her from time to time. I finally had to turn on the air conditioner. I'm no longer experiencing massive chills. I got a bunch of stuff together to mail out. Whoo! Very excited about Ghost World finally coming out on Tuesday. Then, the new Lawrence Arms album a week after that. I hope Daddy Kool gets it in. I have a few new pics I need to scan including one that shows how giant Slap has become. I built her a little house yesterday. It has a little patch at the entrance to it that says "Little" on it that Gaby gave me. I'm working on my thrid Ink 19 column. That should be up soon.

Comic World News!

The new issue of it hits tomorrow and it features my brand new comic about the Lord of the Rings movie vs. the Spider-Man movie. Check it out! Hotcha! That's it, hepcats. I love you. -josh!

1-30-02
(2:10am) Wacthing Northern Exposure. I'm feeling better! I got new medicine. Does anyone else love Billy Mays' beard? I do. I also love my kittie. I got a big skinny mirror yesterday and she keeps running around it thinking that there is another Slap behind it.

http://www.sterlingpowell.net

That is Sterling's site and what I'm going to be working on. It's real simple right now but I'm really happy that I've finally gotten something up. It was so hot here today. It's going to be hotter tomorrow. I haven't had my air conditioner on in over a month and I know that once I turn it on again, I won't be able to turn it off. The soothing sound of it puts me to sleep so easily. If I'm all back to normal tomorrow, I'm going to actually start working on new site stuff and comic stuff. Bah! -josh-

1-28-02 (part 2)
(5:14pm) Listening to The Broadways. I cleaned up all my stuff that has been messy in my apt. That made me feel a lot better even though my neck looks like it has a scarf made out of skin wrapped around it. I'm pretty hungry right now. Ok, here's a story for you hepcats:

Dolores McFindle and her dog, Kuppy, were strolling through the park when something shiny caught their attention. Kuppy said, "By the power of Grey Skull, I think that's a pure gold walking cane!" Dolores slapped him and told him to shut up. They got up to the shiny object and they realized it was a robotic leg. All of a sudden, it came to life and kicked Dolores square in the jaw. She screamed in pain and Kuppy wandered off to enjoy a delicious sandwich. THE END. Epilogue: The robotic leg was found out to actually be Danny DeVito's spine that had escaped the fat actor's back a few days earlier.

1-28-02
(4:15am) Listening to The Decepticonz. Hey! I finally got around to changing my crappy little site. Whee-hoo! Hmm...what's been going on? Jason came back for a few days from New Orleans. I hadn't seen him in almost a year and a half. My weird inflammed lymph node thing should clear up. I got it looked at. Don't you just love reading this junk? I'm still sick, though. I slept 15 hours on Saturday. I'm going to be making some new stuff for the site. Gah! Why am I so dull? -josh-

1-25-02
(1:03am) Listening to The Broadways. I am still fucking sick! I hate it. I also have a weird bump that people are now calling a cyst in my neck. It hurts, too. I can't swallow without feeling pain. It's hot here. Gah! I don't feel like even typing this. I bleached my hair yesterday. I was getting sick of the faded green patch I had in front. I look hep once again. Ahh..I luff the Broadways. I've been working on Sterling's site and that is taking a lot of time up. Oh well, it looks better than this shitty site. Chauncey #8 was started! Oh, it's a blast, too. You'll just have to wait on that precious little sucker. New button designs are being thought up. I'm trying to get my ass in gear with comic related junkiness. Why do I ramble? Do the three of you who read this think I'm insane? I think I'm heading that way. Geez Louise, I'm a bore. -josh!

1-23-02
(1:14am) Listening to Alkaline Trio. How goes it, peoples? Things are hunky dorey in the good nitty gritty old bitty city. It's warm and muggy out and we are getting more dense fog. Nothing really happening with me. I finished my new Comic World News comic. I'm beginning work on my new Ink 19 column. I've actually got some new comics done and I did the rough for the return of Chauncey! I'm still planning on have the collected Chauncey book out soon.

Here is a story:

Ball Buckley was so happy that he just bought a new car. He was driving and he swerved to miss a floating tree stump and he flew off a cliff. He ended up becoming a robot named Nancy. THE END.

Anywho, bye bye lovers! -josh!

1-20-02
(10:09pm) Once again, listening to Lawrence Arms. Man, it's been awhile since I've updated this crappy Words page. I was sick. Really dying, moaning, rolling on the floor sick. I even took a sick day off of work. Anywho, now to now. Stu and I went to The Pier today and sat and drew stuff. We became fixated on this old man named Elmer Wright who strummed his guitar and sang weird Christian songs. We sat and drew him. I'll have to scan my art. He kept telling people to take tapes he had made of his music. Some kids on rollerblades and with helmets on stopped to listen to him and he said, "You can't dance in a space helmet." This other old codger stopped Stu and me just as we were leaving and he suspected us to be up to some wrongdoing. I told him we were drawing and I acted liked I loved him. Now that I'm not sick, I feel like a new person and I have such a cooler attitude. I'm trying to improve my drawing skills, too, now. I'll get better someday. I just got the best review of my comics! Go here to check it out! I'll write more later. Adios kids! Thanks to everyone who sent get well greetings to me earlier in the week. I luff you! -josh!

1-14-02
(9:19pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUSEL AND KEN!!! I'm sitting here eating butter pecan ice cream and chatting with Peter. Watched "Goonies" yesterday with Megan. Painted more and more and was pretty exhausted. I stayed up all night and watched Buster Keaton movies and made my best painting yet! It is a guy being freaked out with his dog with a city skyline at night as a backdrop. Slap is constantly attacking my Burger King Simpsons toys. It's raining out and that makes it feel so nice and comfortable. It's warm and muggy and that makes me smile. The lightning helps, too. Man, I am so in love with the new Lawrence Arms songs! I just got the last four from the new album that I needed.

The more and more I want to go out and do something, the more I think to myself that I am more happy being at home. Hermitdom is what I long for. I'm going to work on two new strips: one for the Feb. ish of comicworldnews.com and the other for my next entry to my Vertical Comp column. I am not in the mood to be doing anything, though. I just want to sleep and watch movies. Oh, well. Fuck you Def Leppard. -josh!

1-12-02
(3:21pm) Listening to new Lawrence Arms. Last night before work, Slap watched "Invader Zim" with me. I look over my shoulder and she was sitting there watching it. Man, it smells in here. Stu burnt some mashed potatos and he didn't open a window or anything so I had to. Work was fun last night (It's fun all the time!). I was requested to be funny by Megan and her friends so I dressed up as a sleek emo kid and ran around with a Santa hat on. I love being goofy. Michael came in and gave me a set of awesome pens for a Christmas present. I drew something really neat with them already. Thank you Michael!!!!! I got out of work and rode my bike home and I was going so fast because of it being downhill towards the Bay. I was listening to the local San Diego tape Mandy made me and it was foggy out. I felt like I was in Saginaw...and it felt nice. I got home, woke Stooge up, almost puked form the rotten potato-ee smell, and started watching more of the "Real World" marathons. I want to be on that show and be the insane kid who screams at everyone and eats nothing but ice cream. I would say nothing but "Ahhhhhhhhh!" I then dyed my weird patch of hair blue and I look like the cat's pajamas. Man, I'm lazy. I should go back to bed. Love, josh!

1-11-02
(4:48pm) Listening to old No Doubt. Ruckus (world famous wonder dog) got hit by a car today. I hope she's going to be ok. Lauren came by work and told me and she was really upset. I need to call her and see how things are. I'm going to go over and see Ruckus if she's out of the vet's tomorrow. Anywho...that's some news.

I added a ton of new links last night. Go check them out. I found my Marty McFly toy from the Back to the Future cartoon the other day. McDonald's was giving those out back in '91. I have another one but I don't know if it's Jules or Verne...Doc's sassy brat kids. I never paid attention. I'm on a loan shark-esque quest. So, that means if you owe me money, you'll be hearing from me. Fuckin' pricks. -josh!

1-10-02
(11:17pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. I'm getting all the new LA songs off of Audio Galaxy. I know, I'm a chump. I should just wait until the album comes out in a month. I started reading "March of the Robots," a book Mandy sent me. Thank you for all of the awesome stuff, Hyenapants! Lee-ska-doo left today. It was great and fun having her visit for the past few days. I had missed her. We wandered around in the short time we had and I showed her some of the city stuff. Most everyone has gone away now leaving my life quiet again. Jen goes back to school tomorrow. At least I have the cat.

Bred has made a nice JoshComics page that will be turned into a site devoted totally to the Art for Sale. All of the $5, quarter sheet stuff is gone. Sorry about the non-update on it. It got used for something else. The paintings are all going to be for the art show. It's still cold here at night. It got up to about 70 today, though. Yay! My computer keeps crashing so I'll end it right now. Luff, josh!

1-7-02 (part 2)
(9:26pm) Listening to Hum. 6 new pics up. Painted some more junk. Made a nice size Chauncey painting/magnet. Buy it from me. Slap is so cute. She finally went to sleep after deciding to attack the hell out of my arms. I'm bumming around. I've been listening to music I haven't heard in awhile. I feel like eating a cheeseburger from McDonald's. I've been slightly questioning my vegetarianism the past couple of weeks. My veggie stuff is so good, though. I haven't eaten meat in 15 months now. I should give up pop again, too. My Buster Keaton DVDs still haven't arrived. Fuck! I got a nice postcard from Batton Lash (Wolff & Byrd) saying he liked some of the new stuff I sent him. Part of me wants to take down the site, give away the stock of comics I have, and not work on anymore comic junk. The other part wants to work on a bunch of new stuff and go against my self-imposed vacation from the books. It's the left-handedness eating at my senses! Blargan!! Thank you for reading this dribble. I love you. -josh!

1-7-02
(1:10am) Listening to Slow Gherkin. Back again for you to vomit at. I took Slap down to see the Globe softball team practice today. The shirts for the team are awesome and I did a little design on them. "Happy Berfday" got published in the teen mag Impressions. That's a big thing for me because the circulation for it is huge! It is put out in the Pinellas County schools and a bunch of other places, too. It hits a great target audience: the kids. Awwww. I made some cool backgrounds for some paintings I'm going to get working on. I have some pics from the day after Crustmass I will put up later. I am lame. -josh!

1-3-02
Listening to The Broadways. Hiya cats! It's cold out. There is actually a wind chill advisory out with temps expected down to about 40. I'm wearing pants for the first time since August. It's good, though, because then I can wear some of my warm clothes like my hep trenchcoats and sweatshirts. What's new? Thanks to those who have stuck around. A new year and things are swell. Happy birthday to Joe! I love him. I have a new exclusive comic up at:

www.comicworldnews.com

Thank you Caleb Gerard! I have some new stuff to post up on here. My new column is done but still needs to be looked at by the editor. Check out the Vertical Composition link soon. It also has a new color comic that goes with it. I have 6 new paintings done in preparation for the art show coming up. I'll have pics of those soon, too. Miss Blair sent me a mixed tape today! I love it, love it, love it! Kriss Kross, Glen Miller, Bjork...gotta love it. Hmm...what else? I've just been taking it easy. I'm still watching Northern Exposure because of being the fiend that I am. I'm trying to heal a knee I injured while making an ass of myself. It's not too hurty though. Hope everyone is having a good two-thousand and 2. I hope it doesn't start snowing here. love, josh!

12-15-01
(6:13pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. The 100 comics hold a total of 11,671 books all put together, folded, stapled, cut, and signed by me over the past 5 years. The catalog is updated with the new books. I talked to Todd Webb a little last night, which was cool! I just ate some oranges. I have some oranges growing outside my window. I should take them. I got the DVD player today and went out and got some silent Little Rascals shorts. I was going to get the Simpsons Season 1 disks but I didn't. I was coughing like crazy when I was trying to fall asleep this morning so I shut off my a/c. I looked at it this morning and the filter was so horrible. I was probably dying form carbon monoxide. I'm glad I didn't die in my sleep. Thanks to those who congratulated me on five years on the comics. Skater Dan is back! Ah, that's it. -josh!

12-12-01
(5:04pm) Listening to Slapstick. I just got back from making copies of my 98th, 99th, and 100th books! Yay me! I'm so excited and more or less relieved. I can start to relax after I put the books together. Ahhhhhhhhh...Hi everyone. How are you? Read this: Comic Jerk Article. It is the Delta College Paper thing Josh Griffith wrote. I'm off. Be back later. -josh!

12-11-01
(3:21am) Listening to The Monsignors. I just finished the rest of the pencils on comic #100! Yay! Todd Webb called a few times tonight but my lame ass self was sleeping. My pretty kittie is sleeping on my lap. I'm going to send away for a bunch of Buster Keaton DVDs tomorrow. That's going to set me back about $200. Yay! I hate money. I'd rather have toys. I should go lay down so I get a little bit of sleep before work. More later, kids. -josh!

12-10-01
(4:07pm) Listening to The Gaslight Addition. It has been 2 years today since I left Saginaw to start a life in Florida. Man, time flies! Well, thank you to everyone who has made living here so much better. It's hot out. The heat index is at 86 degrees right now. Lauren dropped me off this morning. We didn't stay up north too long but I needed it a lot. We drove up to Citrus County yesterday afteroon with Ruckus and it was nice to spend time with them and Lauren's family. I just relaxed and didn't even think about the city life of St. Pete. I was up where it was quiet and serene. There was rain, too. Rain is rare because of our cray-zay drought and the fact that it is the dry season until May or June. It was hard to sleep, though. I didn't get much of it and when I woke up at about 8:30 this morning, it was already super muggy and somewhat nauseating out. We came back through the backwoods of Citrus and Hernando Counties and it made me smile. It made me think of life back up in MI. We got onto the busy I-75 and stopped off at Waffle House. All the old people and tourists on the road were great material for me to laugh at in my head. So...after I got back to my lovely apt., I gave Slap a bath and tons of fleas met their death in my bathtub. She was filthy. I was too. I smell like shampoo. I'm getting stuff taken care of now. I have half of my last book done. I hope to at least finish the pencils and some of the inks on the last of the strips today. I am such a goon. Love, josh!

12-9-01
(3:59am) Listening to Alkaline Trio. What an awesome night! It's foggy out and I want to run around in it. All the tall buildings are engulfed by it and it's really warm out. I saw The Gaslight Addition and Fang-Shooey play tonight when Joe and I traveled down to the shitty Realm. They were so great. I hung out with Babs and Julie. I couldn't stay to see Rude Squad because I had to go to work. I made a couple JoshComics shirts for Joe and I. It was really busy at work. The cat just jumped on me and that reminded me of something. Earlier, she jumped right into my bowl of cereal I was eating. Damn the Slap! Julia gave me Evan Dorkin chase cards! Blee! I did art for a new flyer. I'll add that info to the catalog page. No one looks there. Some of the best writing is in the descriptions of the comics there. My feet hurt again. I'm glad I don't have my ingorwn toenails still like I did for about 6 years. Yeesh! You wanted to know that, huh? I'm going away to Citrus County later on in the afternoon. I need a nice little break. I'm still going to take my work with me and pencil some comics. I'm going with Lauren to visit her family. I haven't seen them since after her and I got back from Comic-Con. I love them. Stu gets the apt. all to himself. Slap can attack him all she wants. Well, bye bye. -josh!

12-8-01
(4:17am) Listening to Skanking Homer. My feet are aching from running around and dancing at work. Josh Griffith has just informed me that an article written by him about my comics has just appeared in the Delta College Newspaper back up in Saginaw. Yay! Wednesday is the big release day of the last three books (#98, #99, and #100). Friday is the five-year anniversary of my first comic coming out. Send me some cheery greetings about it. After that, I work on my writings and paintings. I'm going to make it in this world and it's going to be because of my creativity. I think it is going to happen soon. I haven't mentioned this yet, but I'm doing exclusive comics for www.comicworldnews.com which launches the beginning of the new year. Check it out if you want to see crap that is even more hard to figure out as they have obscure comic references in them. I had fun seeing everyone tonight and making new friends. I cute my hair a few days ago. It's short and spiky once again. The tips are blonde from my previous dye job. I love cereal. I love you. -josh!

12-5-01
(7:52pm) Listening to old Cherry Poppin' Daddies. I got some Fastbacks CDs today, too. I bought more food. Yum. I am getting closer ot finishing that last damn book. I'm tired. Night. -josh!

12-4-01
(6:16pm) Watching The Simpsons. Hey, everyone! It's been awhile since I wrote in here. Thanks to Josh G for the new icons. I love them. I've been working my ass off on comics. I am happy to tell you that I am at 99 books! I might be at 100 by the end of the week. Stu and I have been painting. I did two new ones. If you are interested, click here for the new emo comic that'll be Comic of the Week in a few weeks. There's been some awesome movies on TV such as "Twenty Bucks" and "French Twist." That's it for now. Adios. -josh!

11-29-01
(2:39pm) Watching Northern Exposure. The cat is clawing at my chair. I just got back from working and the post office. I gots my rent paid and I got some comics from Billy Nord. They are the best comics I've read in a long time. They rock like The Lox. I'm trying to think of how to start the newest Vetical Comp column entry. I might take a nap instead. Stu is at his new job at a print shop. Yee-haw! Thanks to JoEllen, I've discovered what was screwing up my arm. It was because of it hanging off my desk when I used my mouse and that put a lot of stress on my right appendage. So, I moved it like a smart little boy. Go away! -josh!

11-28-01 (part 2)
(5:19pm) Listening to Mustard Plug. I just got back from spending a grueling amount of time at the copy shop. I spent about $120, which wiped me out. No money for tiny Josh. So, what is out is: Dirty Josh Chronicles #5, Josh Sullivan Adventures #19, and Stick-People Scum-Bags #6. Yay! Now, I have the lovely task of putting the books together. Hoo-ray (sarcasm)! I am exhausted once again and my back hurts from lugging a trillion copies home in my backpack. I complain too much. Arrghh! -josh!

11-28-01
(2:38am) Watching Northern Exposure. I just finished Dirty Josh Chronicles #5! Three more books to go now. I'm really happy that I got that done. Talked to Lisa and Ken earlier in the day. Then, I slept and didn't really get anything done. Stu and I were at Kinko's, the worst place in the world, as he was trying to print stuff out that just wouldn't go. Fuck them. I hate Kinko's. Hmm...e-mail me sometime. -josh!

11-26-01 (part 2)
(9:02pm) Sitting in silence. There's a new animation up courtesy of Stu. The sound is from one of Bill Nord's Flapjacks and Fannypacks clips. Let us know what you think. Write something in the guestbook. Um...it's hot. Eat my toes. -josh!

11-26-01
(12:10am) Listening to Mike Ness. I slept all damn day. I just woke up right before 11 to watch Northern Exposure but Stu and I ended up watching Sealab 2021 and Space Ghost.

Right now, I'm working on comic stuff and deciding the titles of the 18 four panel strips for (Not So) Quarterly Comic #14. That's the last big hurdle for me before I can just zip right through the last four books I have to do. Then, my long talked about vacation from everything. Maybe I'll even take a break from this fucking site. Hmm...that's a thought. I can't wait for this year to be up and have the resurgence of creativity flow through my veins once again. I remember last January, I was cranking out a big project just about every day. I have to sneeze...oops. Just did. I think I'm going to read some Calvin and Hobbes and then get back into comic business. Thank you for reading this mess. I know it really isn't interesting. Bye bye. -josh!

11-25-01
(4:45pm) Listening to Big D and the Kids Table. Stu is making us Ramen. I haven't had any Ramen in forever. We just got back from the grocery store where I caused more trouble. It was brunch today at the Globe then I came home and slept for an hour. I'm exhausted. My feet hurt. I need a big fat bath. Hmm..I'll write more tonight. -josh!

11-24-01
(3:53pm) Watching Dexter's Laboratory. Not much is going on. It's hot; in the 80's. I have the air conditioner on. Josh Sullivan Adventures #19 is complete. I'm happy with how it turned out. I started pencilling #20. I am eating a donut. Argghhh...I am dull. -josh!

11-23-01
(1:23am) Listening to Potshot. Well, Thanksgiving came and went and I have to say, I had a pretty good time. I've hated holidays for awhile with a few exceptions that made some of them anything other than just another day. Stu and I slept in. I could've slept longer but his goddamn cell phone kept making a ringing noise to let him know he had voicemail. So, that was at about 2pm. Alexis left a message on my machine inviting me to have Thanksgiving with her but I never called her back. I talked to my family and made horrible pancake chunks (those are pancakes gone awry). I made Stu and me omelettes after the pancake chunks made us almost vomit. I inked and inked some more. My arm still hurts a little. Oh yeah, I made a big fool of myself last night at the Globe and came up with new songs and a new dance: The Thuggish Ruggish Josh Dance. I scraped my arm that hurts on a tree and I did pole dances on a street sign. Anyway, I'm taking my time inking Josh Sullivan Adventures #19 and it's looking great. I hate a lot of my friends. Babs sent a "Happy Thanksgiving" my way and so did Erich, but that was it. No other phone calls or e-mails. Fuck all of you. I may hate the holiday but that doesn't mean I hate you. Nick called and asked if Stu-ee and me wanted to go out to dinner. We were in two cars at first and then we got split up. We all ended up back at my apt. and then we took off in Jeff's car. Everywhere was closed and we drove and drove, eventually ending up at Denny's. It was nice having it just be us four Saginaw kids. Denny's got 8,000 times better. They now offer veggie burgers so I gots one. I drew a little and relaxed. I had bought some donuts before this, by the way. So, they dropped Stu and I back off and he played Nintendo and I inked my little heart out. My hand hurt and we watched the Northern Exposure episode that won an Emmy, "Cicely". It was so good. We are the biggest NX fans. I'm so glad Stu is here. JSA #19 is now almost done. Nine more panels to ink. I hope to get a few more pages of some other book done tomorrow before I go into work at night. I want to sleep in with the air conditioner on and dream about Potsie Webber and clowns who eat grubs. It's supposed to be 82 tomorrow. Now, both of my arms hurt from typing. Grr..boy howdy, this is long. -josh!

11-21-01 (part 2)
(1:07am) Listening to The Ataris. My dumb-ass forgetful self forgot to state that Burn Brandon #9 came out and it's awesome. There's a report on the South Korea punk scene, some rants and raves about the Tampa suburb of Brandon, and a few cahmicks by me. Yay! My arm still hurts, by the way. -josh!

11-21-01
(12:22am) Listening to Catch 22's "9mm and a Three Piece Suit" on 88.5 FM's Waste By-Product show. Well, I'm happy to inform the three fans out there that I just finished the pencils on Josh Sullivan Adventures #19. Four books to go until I'm at 100! Yay! Stu and I walked around the Bay a little earlier. It was so relaxing. He took pictures and I tried to take my mind off of my arm. My right arm is in a lot of pain and I don't know why. It feels like the nerves are melting. Oh yeah! I forgot to say that I hung out with the hilarious Peter and Aaron of "Peter and His Apartment" fame. This time, there was also the lovable Richard who was with them. I've been reading the new Comics Journal and taking it relatively easy. I hope I can get some inking done tonight. I'm going to stay up to watch the 2am Northern Exposure. I wish my arm wasn't about to fall off. Arrghh! -josh!

11-19-01
(1:30am) Listening to the Ghost World soundtrack. I saw part of the meteor shower yesterday. I went down to Tampa Bay at about 5:30am and there were tons of people there. I almost ran over some guy with my bike. It was amazing to be watching it over the water though. So, I went back home and fell asleep. I still wasn't prepared for the Little Rascals film fest I sort've had to get organized for. Oh! Peter just mentioned something great to me that he does. When the pop-up appears on my site, just scream. It's lots of fun and then you won't get tired of it. You can scream for no reason at all. Yay! Anywho, I woke up and got the tapes together of what I wanted to show. There was three silent ones and three talkies. I even dressed up like Alfalfa with the cowlick and all and I drew freckles on me.

Stu took me down to the Globe and I got everything together. Fang-Shooey was setting up to play as well. It got underway and I talked a little bit about the films and ate some cake. A nice crowd showed up and I was happy a few of my friends were there. Fang-Shooey played in between the silents and the talkies and they rocked so much. Then, after the films they played again. All was well and I went home. I am hungry. -josh!

11-17-01 (part 2)
(7:24pm) Dumb old building manager Tony woke me up by hammering some shit together outside today. Stu and I watched "Ghost World" and then Nick came over and we watched some ZIM. The three of us went out to the mall where I could've bought a bunch of stuff but I held back. Hot Topic has ZIM shirts. I woulda got one but so will a bunch of other asses probably. There's now a giant clown PEZ dispenser that dispenses whole packs of the horribly wretched but highly entertaining candy. I was so obnoxious. It was great. People even made comments about it. That's what I like to hear. So....I got the Ghost World soundtrack and as we were driving back, we listened to it. I was dancing in the car to Mohammed Rafi, and I danced some more. I brought my tape recorder with me and screamed hilarity into it left and right. I totally finished Stick-People Scum-bags #6 earlier. I just needed to do one panel. Hmm..what else happened? Some girls whistled at me and I mocked them and made fun of them. I'm ugly. Whistling is deserved for someone a little better looking. I have to pick out the Little Rascals tapes we're showing tomorrow at the film fest. Talk to ya later, Potsie! -josh!

11-17-01
(4:10am) Adam Hamlin and Josh Griffith, presidents of the JoshComics fan club are planning a special tribute issue to the comics in celebration of the release of my 100th book and the five-year anniversary of the inception of this crap. E-mail Adam at:

Get in contact with them if you're interested in submitting art, writings or whatever for this joyous occasion. A book will be compiled shortly after that hopefully. If not, stuff will be posted on the site. Yay!

Thank you Bred for Ghost World! He got me a bootleg of the best movie ever (it even has Japanese subtitles)! Yee-haw! You rock, Bred! Oh man, him and I are going to take over the world of comics. Bye bye. -josh!

11-16-01 (part 3)
(4:33pm) Ack!

I am 48% Metal-Head.

Most other metal-heads acknowledge my presence, but they laugh at me behind my back. Maybe I need to stop spending all that money on haircuts and invest in a few Pantera T-shirts.

11-16-01 (part 2)
(4:26pm) Whoop! Whoop!

I AM 17% PUNK.

It's not a fashion craze, or even a cool thing to do. I should just swallow it, get Lost, and take my friends with me.

11-16-01
(4:12pm) Listening to Alkaline Trio. My aunt sent me a bunch of my old art, pictures, and other stuff from when I was a kid. Ha! She sent the program from when I played a wise man in a Christmas play in 1987 with my "church pal" Joel, Chad Becker, and Bill Becker (I guess they thought they could allow 4 wise men). Bill and I ended up becoming good friends in high school. One horribly interesting drawing she sent is one I did in 1989. It's this crazy robot remarking "Merry Christmas" and some mean child laughing that he loves to make new friends. That reminds me of the times when Stu and I were in 1st Grade and we would color in Transformers coloring books and write the word "Beer" on boxes in the background and we would have them holding beer cans. Ha ha! There's pic my aunt sent, too, that looks like my dad is giving me beer when I was about one. Yee-haw! I'll be back here later. Love, josh!

11-15-01
(1:38am) I have found out I am a little emo:

I am 29% EMO.
Not quite Emo
Hmm.. i suggest I stopped listening to Dashboard Confessional.... enough said... Now that I stopped looking at my shoes, I know how the real world looks.

I look so emo lately, with the exception of my surfer hair. Haw haw! SPSB #6 is coming along. I want to finish it tonight but that probably won't happen.

Stu-ee is sleeping on my floor. I want to have him smell my socks or throw the cat on him. I'm typing really loud. I expect him to yell at me like when Lauren yelled for me typing too loud. Ha! I crack me up. Oh my! Stu just mumbled the funniest thing about a fez in his sleep. Ha!!! -josh!

11-14-01 (part 2)
(5:12pm) Listening to Lawrence Arms. I'm highly anticipating Stu's arrival in a little while. All of the roughs for Stick-People Scum-Bags #6 are done. I'm going to work on that book tonight. It's really cloudy and crunchy out. It's only cloudy about ten days out of the year here so when it does get like this, people go bananas and stay in. I don't have anything to say. I'm a fool and a half. -josh!

11-14-01
(1:37am) Listening to Slapstick on vinyl! Blee! I talked with Lisa lots tonight. I always act like such a moron on the phone. We chatted about her making leaflets and how appetizing that sounded. It makes me want to go make my own "leaflets". We talked about her skirts she bought and how Kriss Kross is probably the best thing to happen in the rap world. We got cut off and I called back a few times but it wouldn't go through. I fell asleep and I woke up just in time for Northern Exposure, the best show ever in the whole world. Stu left a message and said he was in Ohio. ("Why oh, why oh, why oh, did I ever leave Ohio?" Name where that's from and you get a swift kick in the jaw). I'm chatting with Mandy Hyena. Hiya Hyena! Man, I luff Slapstick. Oh oh oh! I forgot to write that I'm really excited that lots of people are coming home from college for Thanksgiving. I'm so hgappytastic. Alexis and Amanda and others will be here. Boy-howdy! Yee-hoo! -josh!

11-13-01
(3:53pm) Listening to a Samiam cover of Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me." I just got this double disc comp of a bunch of punky bands covering ol' Frank. I saw Billy on TV. It was so cool. He is older me I've decided. He can play "Lou" in a JoshComics movie. Julia was over beating me up and we watched him and this great little anime and an Australian film directed by Baz Luhrman called "Strictly Ballroom." Hi Lisa! I'm thinking of you! It's pretty windy here today and sand and other shit is flying all over the place. I think I have a pidgeon caught in my eye. Oh! The anti-drug video I was in is now out and I should be getting my copy of the whole thing soon. I'll try to put the funny clips of me spouting off about Australia and convicts if I can.

In Cahmick news, a lot of rough draft stuff is complete and I'll be done with a couple more books this week. They should be crappy!

I just realized my Microsoft Messenger name is set to Dirty Josh. Stu is almost here. He should be here tomorrow. I want to take him to go see the Voodoo Glow Skulls. I bought records at Star Booty today. I got you something Mandy. Yee-haw! It's not much, but you should like it. I'll talk more later, kiddies! Love, Josh!

11-12-01 (part 2)
(4:26pm) Oh! You trolls have to watch Howard Stern tonight on E! Famed comedy extraordinaire, writer of a couple Josh Comics, and good friend of mine Bill Nord is going to be on there. Watch him! It's at 11pm EST. Yay Bill! Dexter's Laboratory is my lover. -josh!

11-12-01
(4:04pm) Whee-hoo! Hello. There's a new Comic of the Week up. The show yesterday was fun. Fang-Shooey and Rude Squad kicked ass. I hung out with my boys in The Gaslight Addition. We had a lot of fun acting nuts and laughing about everything. Stu is leaving tomorrow to move here! Yay! My bestest pal! My apt. is completely rearranged and clean. What a relief. I'm going to start working on a few more books now. Bye bye. -josh!

11-11-01
(3:28pm) I finally read "Ghost World." What an amazing book! It definitely makes me want to make a book like itself. I'm off to the big show today at The State. I look like a loon. -josh!

11-10-01 (part 2)
(3:12pm) Listening to The Broadways. I just got back from my weekly/bi-weekly shenanigans I cause while grocery shopping at Publix. I spent $115 I had so much fun. When I fuck off and cause trouble, I never realize how much I buy until after I check out. I got egg nog ice cream! You envy me!! Nick punched me in the back, too. It really hurt. Those of you who know me realize I have no fat or muscle on my body so any love tap you give me is bound to hurt. I just keep making fun of him about it now. It doesn't hurt anymore. I kept saying he jellified my spine. I talked to Stuart a little earlier. The cat kept attacking me. I'm going to change my apartment around a little. My whining paid off. Thank you for the e-mails. I know I have to update the Simonetti Fan Club site. I love you. -josh!

11-10-01
(4:03am) I have Oreo's and muffins! Blee! Thank you, Joellen. I got so many comments at work tonight that my hair is really blonde and that people like my horrendous mop atop my noggin. I saw Ren tonight! Hi Ren! Dee-amn! My hair IS getting long. It's a little foggy out. I want to run around in it and sell sandwiches to people. That reminds me. I was napping earlier and some fuck came to my door promising to teach me how to become independent. I don't know what the hell he was talking about but I slammed the door in his face. I wish nobody could get to my door or call me. That's why I'm so glad I don't have voice mail on my line anymore. I'm watching some of the stuff Patrick and I filmed. I miss doing that so much. We used to make music videos for ska songs and They Might Be Giants stuff, too. There is a pretty good chance that there's going to be Chauncey Christmas ornaments available. I'll let you know more about that soon. Hello to you, Mandy. She is one of the few people who e-mails me. I should dress up tomorrow and wear my suspenders and one of my 100 ties. The cat has become really mean towards me. I think it's just because she's teething. I still love her even thought she bites me. She clomped onto my nose earlier today and my lip the other day. That's it. -josh!

11-9-01
(1:23am) Listening to Catch 22's "Riding the Fourth Wave" and eating eggs and toast. Yum! Hiya kids! How goes it? Yesterday, Julia and I hung out all day and we went to 2 comic shops and I spent about $80 and had such a blast. We ran inside Walgreen's in search of delightfulness. That ended up being a root beer for her, Wild Cherry Pepsi for me, and a box of Honey Nut Cheerios for us. I bought a box of it for the sole reason of getting the Honey Bee PEZ dispenser that beckoned me from the clear plastic window. I then threw some Cheerios at a redneck in a truck. Comics I bought: Optic Nerve #8, the new Acme Novelty Library, the second Too Much Coffee Man Magazine, the DC Bizzaro Comics! hardcover, Ghost World (got it finally, Mandy Hyena!), and other stuff that added up to 80 smackers. We then watched lots of crap and some of "My Life in Pink" which was on Bravo.

I made copies of issues #32 and #33 of the regular mini-comics and of Chauncey #7. 6 more books to go, Potsie! Those are all a quarter apiece. I thought I had more to type about but I'm too fucking lazy so eat my ass. Holy Shit! The Jeffries Fan Club cover of "Walking on Sunshine" is playing now. I love Spunk radio! I need a haircut. Why does it have to be the 9th already? -josh!

11-6-01
(6:27pm) Watching The Simpsons. I'm so happy with my new socks! They put me in the best mood today. I've discovered that Northern Exposure is on twice a day. That is so exciting. Now, I'm watching The Little Rascals. I was really happy to get a card from Amanda today. Yippee yay! Wonder Years is back on TV...rejoice! Jackie Cooper rocks! Blee...!!!!!! Miss Crabtree! New animation up. -josh!

11-5-01 (part 2)
(8:13pm) Listening to a remix of the Super Mario Bros. theme song. I had fun traversing through Wal-Mart a little earlier with Nick. I bought strawberry flavored popcorn put out by PEZ, some new socks, new pillows, underdraws, a ToyFare, more delicious egg nog, and pistachios. Yum yum! I'm a little bit of the way through comic #94. I just got done chatting with Lisa. Yee-hee! I'm so much fun for myself. -josh!

11-5-01
(2:15pm) Sitting in silence. After going through all 500+ guestbook entries, it is quite apparent that the lot of you clamor for more lame-o animations. I'm working on one right now. I'm almost done with comic #93. Maybe I'll have #94 done today, too. I had a great conversation with Emily last night. I haven't talked to her in forever. -josh!

11-4-01
(5:12pm) Listening to Leftover Crack. My apt. is all clean and organized finally! Chauncey #7 is done. I'll have that and a few more books out hopefully on Thursday when Joe releases "Five Minutes of Glory" #3. I look spiffy today. I'm all dressed nice and have various things around my wrist like my watch and a piece by Skater Dan. Slap looks very cute with her little blue collar I just put on her. I have more pictures from the birthday party that I got from DJ Icy Lushpants that I'll post soon. I hung up all the cards today I got from the party. They're hip. Where has everyone gone? There seems to be nobody out there anymore.

I was the DJ last night at The Globe. It was so much fun! I spent two hours yesterday going through all my stuff and picked out an eclectic mix of 76 songs. I had to keep running back and forth from working to changing songs. Ha!

Eight more books and I'll be at 100. Those 8 are: Stick-People Scum-Bags #6 + #7, DJC #5, (not so) #14, Mini #32 + #33, and JSA #19 + #20. Fuck the coconut man! Damn, my neck is getting bristly. Oh well, shit on you. -josh!

-josh!

11-3-01
(12:07pm) Listening to The Broadways. I'm just bumming around. I couldn't sleep in because the cat kept chewing on my hair. If you're reading this, sign the guestbook or post on the message board. I'm interested to see who still reads this junk. Thank you. -josh!

11-1-01 (part 2)
(10:07pm) Listening to Skankin' Pickle. I can't believe it's so fucking hot and muggy here. I'm exhausted. I made Dirty Josh Chronicles #4 and Chauncey #6 today. I have most of #7 done and that brings me to 92 books! Yay for me. Thank you to everyone who's been writing me and making me happy. To the rest of you, fuck you! E-mail me sometime at least. -josh!

11-1-01
(8:25am) Listening to Lawrence Arms' "Hey, what time is Pensacola: Wings of Gold on anyway?". I went with Rusel and Lydia last night as we begged for candy. I had a great time! I dressed up as the evil robotic futuristic clown pimp vampire slut version of Harry Potter's ghost. After that, Lauren came by so she could see the kids before they left for Orlando and then back to MI. I said bye to them and gave them big hugs. Her and I then watched Back to the Future. Some ass scared the shit out of me when he lit some firecrackers last night. Damn! I'm not very interesting. -josh!

10-31-01
(1:59am) Watching: "Back to the Future". Happy Halloween! I'm at 91 books now. I just got done with Chauncey #6! Yay! I love Back to the Future! Love me tender! -josh

10-30-01 (part 2)
(11:42pm) Watching: "Back to the Beach". I just realized that this movie was my introduction to ska. I was 5 at the time it came out. Fishbone is playing and Annette Funicello is teaching people to skank, which is great! Dick Dale is in the movie, too. The kid who plays Frankie and Annette's son is so funny and obnoxious! This is one of the best movies ever! -josh!

10-30-01
(9:58pm) Listening to: Skafunkrastapunk by Skankin' Pickle. My hair is blue and green. I look suave. I think all of you need to go out and rent or buy "Back to the Beach" starring Frankie and Annette. It's such a great movie. I remember seeing it as a kid in 1987. It has cameos by Gilligan, Pee-Wee Herman and I think Fishbone. It's so good and funny and makes you want to build a time machine to go to the 80s. Speaking of time machines, I got "Back to the Future." The BTTF trilogy is on my favorite things ever. I also got the enchanting anime "Robot Carnival", a Police record, and the 45 of "Hot, Hot, Hot" by Buster Poindexter. Why oh why do the 80s keep calling out to me?!

Now, this section is about Lisa. I talked to her forever tonight. That might seem like a normal thing and I guess it is, but she's in London and I've called over there lots and lots lately...so there! I don't know what that was supposed to mean but I haven't written anything about her on here yet. Hello Lee-ska!

I'm going trick-or-treating with Rusel and Lydia tomorrow. It's been a very very long time since I've done that. So, that means the release of DJC #4 gets pushed back to Thursday. I know you're all crying over that.

I gots to see Phillip today. He's back for good from Portland. It was because of him that I made Chauncey. You see, he's the one who did those ever-so entertaining fake show flyers in Dirty Josh Chronicles. They inspired me to make fun of the emo kids but not try too hard at it. Chauncey was born soon after. Anyway, it's good to have another friend back among me. I love you all. I hope you think that way back. -josh!

10-29-01
(9:53pm) I suppose I've just forgot to type stuff on here. On Saturday, Mitchell, Melissa, Nick and me went to the Oldsmar Flea Market and I bought so much crap: TMNT toys, Masters of the Universe figures, a Laurel and Hardy tape, boxes of unopened cards of Gremlins, Gremlins 2, ALF and ALF series 2, a big plush ALF doll, and a crazy clown marrionette. We also scavenged the Burger Kings in search of more Simpsons toys. I have 9 of the 15 now.

Yesterday, Rusel and Lydia and their parents got here early and we hung out. Rus and Lyd spent the night and we ate all sorts of food and played lots of video games. Today, we went down to the water and threw grapes at parakeets. I just went with Nick to Albertson's where I proclaimed that Jose Ole is my new King. -josh!

10-25-01
(10:56pm) I just had the best time at the store with Nick and Jeff. Egg nog is back in season and as soon as I saw it, I flipped out and made the funniest noise. I sucked in air and made a funky sealish scream. I bought Bart Simpson cereal and had fun with a screechy weasel toy for dogs. Thank you Julia for letting me borrow the ZIM tape. I'm so damn busy. Arrghhh!!!! Egg nog filled balloons at cars!!! Grrr. -josh!

10-24-01
(4:09pm) Listening to The Ramones. I haven't done that in a long time. I'm making some progress on the Ink 19 column. I wish I didn't get headaches. I'm really hungry again. Burritos, here I come! It's too hot today. It was 80 when I woke up at 10 this morning and the humidity is nuts. There was a waterspout down near Bradenton. Here's a story:

A giant boat that could fly went around the city one day in search of a tree it could live in. Not suprisingly, it struck a bridge, a goat, and several SUV's before smashing it's boat face into some pavement. She/He/It was pronounced dead on arrival at 11:34am. The End.

I'm nuts. -josh!

10-22-01
(9:26pm) I have a lot of new pictures up. A bunch of them are from the birthday party. I put a thing up to show you my apartment, too. I got some of the ultra-cool Simpsons toys from Burger King today! I just saw Samurai Jack. I bought a Smoking Popes album and one by Bix Beiderbeke. I love it! -josh!

10-21-01 (part 2)
(11:18pm) I've been given the opportunity to write a column about whatever I want for www.ink19.com! Yay! This is exciting. This will be a good chance to work on my writing skills. I'm working on Dirty Josh Chronicles #4. Peter and His Apt. #3 is going to come about now. I totally blew this day off. It rained a lot. I ate veggie enchiladas. -josh!

10-21-01
(3:45am) I had to say goodbye to too many people tonight. Alexis is going back to NC, Amanda back to Tallahassee, Jessica is moving to Pittsburgh, and my favorite boys, Skater Dan and Phil, took off tonight on their big trip to CO and CA. Bye bye! I'll miss you until you come back. I sold a Chauncey shirt tonight when I got to work. That was after I got to see Rude Squad play a little bit. It's too muggy out. My hair is getting pretty long and it looks like shit. I'm all scratched up from the cat. My lame-o counter isn't working on the site. I'm hungry. -josh!

10-20-01
(3:44am) So, Agnostic Front came into my work and bought food. One of them wanted to buy my "Davey & Goliath hate emo kids" shirt but they left before I got the chance to take it off. It was so nice to see everyone tonight. Amanda, Emily Vee, the Fang-Shooey boys, Steve, Zak..My kittie is laying here on my lap while I type. Argghhh...the claws! I have so many scratches on me. I started on Chauncey #6. It's ok. Man, Slap is running around like a loon. I wish she would stay tired when I got home. Mmmm...pink lemonade. I have three pairs of shoes. Bye bye. -josh!

10-18-01
(9:51pm) Mandy and I are bums and then after that, we will be carnies. I got fan mail from Seattle! I also met a fan who came into my work. That makes me feel good. I have the roughs done for Chauncey #6 + #7. Yay! I'm slowly getting stuff done. Boo! -josh!

10-16-01 (part 2)
(4:28pm) I love my kittie cat! She is so awesome. She's responding to the name Slap and I think she has a future in web design because of her clawing at my bracelets as I type this. Damn! She is really hyper. Anyway, I guess I'm going to go with Melissa and Donna to the XTC SuperCenter (a porn store) to visit Eric Rude Squad in a bit. That should be fun for some comic material. Love, josh!

10-16-01
(3:33am) I'm chatting with Mandy Hyena right now. Hiya Mandy Pants! Hotcha! Inka Dinka Doo! Capitalization and Exclamation Points! Who could go wrong? I gots cable earlier in the day and Ruby Ruby Ruby Ryan Yoho came over and him and me and Nick and Jeff watched lots o' ZIM (on tape)! I didn't do anything. I think I passed out from drinking something I got for my bday. It gave me weird dreams. I slept and found out that I wasn't going to get Miss Kittie. I was really sad. I watched Little Rascals and went to sleep again. Somewhere in there, Melissa called about 3 times which was nice. I was awakened by the phone and it was Lauren. She said I could get the kittie after all. She is Slap. She is swell. I love her.

10-14-01
(9:25pm) My birthday was so much fun!!!! Thank you JoEllen and everyone else for such an amazing time! It was the happiest day of my life. I couldn't stop smiling. So many people came out for it and I saw a lot of my friends I haven't seen in a long time. I got a lot of great toys, knick-knacks, candy, and other presents. I can't believe some of the cards I got and how much time people put into them. I felt really loved last night. Oh! I almost forgot to tell you about my cat I'm going to get soon. She is so cute. I'm going to name her Slap. Thank you Nick for suggesting that name. I was going to call her Gir from "Invader Zim" because of how adorable she is but I like Slap better. I think I'm getting her tomorrow. During this time, Babs and Julie brought me over a cake that said "Happy Birthday Jawsh!" on it. I love them. Anywyay, back to the par-tay!

I looked like a pimp and I ended up getting 13 kisses on my face by various people. I could just smell the lipstick wasting away on my face. I got up on the counter and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me and it was so cool to see tons and tons of people standing up singing to me and clapping. I almost started crying. Margot DJed for me and I did a nice little striptease to a Spanish version of "I'm too sexy for my shirt." We got lots of pictures so those will be up very soon. I had quite a few dollar bills in my pants, too. After that, I went with Mitchell, Ryan, Zak, Eric, Tom, Steve, Donna, and Melissa to the St. Pete Diner where Melissa and I proceeded to get French toast again. It was fun hanging out with everyone but I drank pop for the first time in almost 2 months and the caffeine gave me a raging headache. A few of us came back to my apt. and we watched music videos and videos Patrick and I made. I went to bed at about 7am. I woke up at 3:30 and watched "Zim" and relaxed. I talked to Steve and then Melissa a bit and picked up my presents I had left at The Globe. I just got done looking through all of them again. I'm so so so so happy! Thank you everyone!!! I love you! -josh!

10-13-01
(11:38am) Right now, at this exact minute, I am now 20! Yay! Last night was great. The party started early at the Globe. Some people brought me presents and stuff but the best thing is that Alexis and Liz are back from college for a short time! Joe and I saw them walk in and we dropped everything and just ran to them. It was such a happy time. I'm gearing up for the party tonight. Julia brought me all the episodes of "Invader Zim" on tape. Wowza! I haven't slept much. My sister decided to hang out with Stu-ee and Jen and not go home, which freaked out my mom. She called me early to see if I heard from her then Stu's dad called, too. I can't wait to see most of the Andrews bunch when they get here around Halloween. Hopefully, Patrick and I will film a lot more silent movies and music videos. Thank you everyone for all the fun you give me. Love, Josh! -age 20!

10-12-01
(5:46pm) I'm writing this right now to convey my thoughts out to those who read this about my 20th birthday. I'm really down about some of it, mainly the fact that I want all the teen years back again. This age "20" has been something I've thought about since I was really little. I loved thinking when I was 7 about what the world would be like in the year 2001. The age 18 was big for me but 20 seemed more appealing. Fuck 21. I don't drink.

I'm amazed at how many years I've survived. I thank my friends and family for helping me get through lots of it. I am really happy with my life. My hobbies, my job, my attitude towards most things being good, my aspirations, my dreams, my energy, and everything else is so awesome. I have grown into such a strong tyke and out of my shell. I still act really shy sometimes but acting weird and not letting shit get to me helps. I can't believe that at 11:38am tomorrow, I'll be 20.

Last night, I went with Emily and Zak to go see Fang-Shooey at Gasoline Alley in Clearwater. It was really fun. I met some new people and danced even! I never dance at a show. I was all smiles. Afterward, we all went out to Perkins to eat. This girl Melissa and I ate the French toast that I ordered as Mitchell and I continued making fun of shit. All I remember is bitching about my hair because it looks crappy when it's not done up ala Zack Morris. I look like a surfer if I try. I kept stealing Ryan Yoho's hat. After that, I hung out with Melissa and Zak Attack. We watched a movie and I wondered why Zacky Wacky was snoring. -josh1

10-11-01
(12:05am) Well, the frames are gone on the site. Let me know what you think about the changes. There's more to come. If there are any glitches, tell me. I'm doing good. I have a damn virus on my computer that has stopped me from e-mailing people until I get new anti-virus software. Nick and Jeff are in a motel now. It's the first time I've had my apt. to myself in a week and a half. I'm watching TV and I can smell my smelly socks. Amy called me from Kentucky tonight. I'm excited about my birthday. There's some comics that need to be added to the catalog. I'm done. bye bye. -josh!

10-8-01
(10:28pm) Happy birthday Todd Webb! I'm banned from 7-11. It's sort of a long story. I'll tell it later. I made 15 iron-on Josh Comics shirts. E-mail me if you are interested in learning more. I'm going to update the site a lot hopefully soon. I'll be back. -josh!

10-3-01
(1:38am) I'm trying to get the new (Not So) done. I hope I do. I want to make copies of it later. I'm trying to be hip. Sorry the words have been lame lately.

10-1-01
(7:53pm) I went to the beach today. I wanted to show Nick and Jeff it. I found out Pat and Angela are moving down here in a month so him and I can make more fun movies when he does. Yay! I talked with Cheng forever last night and Stu and Jen and a lot of other people. I'm working on a new book of nothing but four panel strips. You might like it. Bye bye. -josh!
