"The Josh and Stu Show"
Two separate series of new paintings by Josh Sullivan and Stuart Andrews

Hailing from crime-laden Saginaw, Michigan, 27-year-old Stuart Andrews managed to escape drug addiction, death-defying stunts, and psychotic ex-girlfriends to become a portrait-painting hermit, residing in the safety of luxurious Saginaw Township. Having taken only a two-dimensional art class at the local community college and some private lessons, he has received minimal formal art training.

His portrait exhibition, *How We Live* -- showing concurrently with the artwork of his best friend, Josh Sullivan -- started as a hobby of painting his favorite family photos. He wanted to celebrate the universality of family life, pay tribute to family and friends, and reveal some of the people and activities that shaped him into the person he is today.

Josh Sullivan is 26-years-old and also from Saginaw, Michigan. He has been living in St. Petersburg the past eight years, where he has found inspiration in the amazing art and music scene that the city holds. He started out doing comics while in high school and added painting to his repertoire as a way to make his art end up on people's walls. Josh's paintings for this show will be all new works ranging from oddly-shaped people, to robots, to dinosaurs and everything in between.

After realizing that the two best friends (for the past twenty years) hadn't ever had an art show together, Josh convinced Stu that they should hold an exhibit in St. Pete and it was as simple as that.

The opening for "The Josh and Stu Show" takes place on Saturday, November 3rd from 6pm-9pm at The Globe Coffee Lounge, 532 1st Avenue North in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg. Both artists will be on hand for the occasion. The paintings will remain on display until November 10th. For more information, call The Globe Coffee Lounge at: (727) 898-JAVA.
